John was born in Korea, grew up in Australia, and currently lives in Flushing, New York. In the winter of 2019-2020, John travelled to Taiwan by himself to learn about the people, history and culture of the island. He was especially interested in the amazing food, the indigenous societies, and transportation infrastructure of Taiwan. At the invitation of the Taiwan Center, on November 14, 2pm, John will share some of his experiences and observations through photographs he took during his exploration of Taiwan, including a 10-day bicycle ride around the island.
