Tôgenkyô High School—— one of the best and high known establishment in his country, people talked about it; mostly good remarks of the high school. It was made for the richest or the smartest children. If you don’t pass the entrance exams and you’re in a wealthy family, you could possibly bribe your way into the system, but not for Hakkai, no. He wasn’t from a wealthy family; he had no parents but a twin sister, Kanan, who, sadly, doesn’t go to this high school, not with him. Hakkai managed to pass the entrance exam with high marks as well, he studied hard for that entrance exam anyway so he could get into the school and learn much as possible, as he knew there were so many courses and clubs within the high school itself. Basically, it was exciting for him.

Now here he was. An orphan in this kind of school. It sounds like a dream, a big dream that could go away in the blink of an eye, or a couple of blinks if he ever wakes up. But no. This isn’t a dream. This is real. He even had to pinch himself once to see if it was real. He attends every class that was on his schedule and studied hard when there was a test or something else that involved hard work. In the end, all he was aiming for was good grades, a higher education and a bright future, and a job that would be either a teacher or a vet, perhaps both if he could juggle both at once.

Hakkai strolled around the outer area of the school, following the path. It was break, so he had enough time to himself, then he stops and peers at the person sitting on the bench under a giant tree. It looked like he was writing something. Maybe it was wise to spark a conversation? Make a friend. So he walks forward, sits down, awkwardly waits for a few seconds before turning his head. “What are you writing about?” He asked, curious as he looked at the notebook but didn’t pry any further than a question.

"So... nobody is going to ask me something about the blood?"

“No. I don’t want to know.”

      “Well, well. This is... unusual.” And yet, the smirk that played at his lips didn’t say that he was upset at the situation. Oh no. This was interesting. Unusual. Unexpected. But?
