~lots of spoilers~ ~*~beware niggas~*~
Yeah, amazing. Hostel made it to part 3 but big fucking surprise. Movies like that always get a bunch of parts. If you've ever watched the previous hostels, you know the general story line. Where they kidnap a bunch of people from hostels and bring them to this warehouse where people pay to kill them or pay to watch them be killed, more so tortured until they're dead.
This is was a little different though. It wasn't in like Russia or where the movie is originally based. Somewhere in Europe. This one was based in Vegas. It starts off with one of the guys working the torture place, or the Elite Hunting Club (that's their name haha), coming into a hostel where he takes his first victims. It then moves on to a house and at this part, it turns into straight up the hangover. If you've seen the Hangover, the guy is getting married and his friends take him to his "bachelor" party in a not so bachelor place, and instead take him to Vegas. Same thing happened. Instead of taking the husband to go to Palm Springs to relax and play golf, his friend takes him to Las Vegas. Then they gamble, take him to his bachelor party, and then BAM, they all get kidnapped, most get tortured, and pretty much everyone dies. Moral of the story.
But wait, THIS MOVIE IS FILLED WITH SO MANY FUCKING PLOT TWIST. It pissed me the fuck off haha. First off, the movie starts with this white kid, looking nerdy as fuck, going into a hostel. If you don't know what a hostel, it's a really cheap motel looking place and it's super cheap because you're sharing the room with other people. So this white kid walks into his room where there are already a Russian couple inside. The first hostels were in Europe so you're like "okay these Russian folks are going to take this white kid cause they look sketch as fuck and he has a fucking knife in his bag and a damn pocket knife in his pocket" and bam they share the white kids beer and they all start knocking out, besides the white kid of course cause he's part of the Elite Hunting Club. 1st plot twist. 2nd plot twist was the main characters (the husband to be and his friends) see these girls at the casino eyeing them and then the girls take them to a really sketch location and somehow the husband loses his friends and they attack the husband, put a bag over his head, he's freaking out, everyone looks sketch, and it was actually for his bachelor party. I mean, I should have expected it but it was played off so well. 3rd plot twist: the husband gets blasted and stumbles outside to get some air. Well first off, they take a cab to this sketch building, and the taxi's meter doesn't even work and it's a Russian man driving the car. The husband stumbles out and passes out and the taxi driver walks up to him and I'm like "AWH HE'S GONNA GET KIDNAPPED" nope the taxi driver drives him safely back to his hotel. Plot twist number 4: the friends paid this girl to have sex with the husband and he's like "na, I cheated on my wife to be before I ain't doing it again" and instead of him getting ass, his friend gets ass with one of the other girls. Then the friend goes missing and you're like "holy shit the girls are apart of the fucking crew!" nope the girl was fucking kidnapped too. Plot twist number 5: the group of friends and one of the escorts all gang up to find their friends. They end up going to the hostel where the Elite Hunting Club plan everything out so they get kidnapped. I believe the first guy who gets kidnaps goes there with his escort and that's how they managed to get the rest of the people into the hostel. Didn't really make that clear to me but now that I think back at it I'm sure that's what happened. So the rest of the people get kidnapped and brought to the warehouse and one of the friends is like "FUCK NA U DID NOT JUST KIDNAP ME" takes off his shirt, and shows the security that he's PART OF THE FUCKING ELITE HUNTING CLUB LIKE WHAT THE FUCK NOPE DIDN'T SEE THAT SHIT COMING. Plot twist, shit I don't even know what fucking number I'm on, okay 6 (6 too fucking many): okay, I don't really know if this guy planned on bringing his friend to the warehouse or not but once they got there, he made it seem like he really didn't like his friends. So they bring the husband into the warehouse and his friend (best man? didn't quite catch that but they seemed like really good friends throughout the movie until this whole kidnapping shit happened) they bring the husband into the main killing room and the person who is suppose to kill him IS HIS BEST FRIEND. His best friend is like "you stole my girl I'm gonna fucking kill u" and the people in charge of the killing is like "release him" and they husband to be and the best friend is fighting and shit. THAT'S 2 PLOT TWIST IN ONE. btw, the husband "wins" the battle by stabbing his friend multiple times. Oh wait, PLOT TWIST THE FRIEND ISN'T ACTUALLY DEAD THAT'S PLOT TWIST NUMBER FUCKING 7.
Okay, seriously, 7 was a lot already. That's pretty much like all of them already. I don't really think I missed out on any other important ones but still that was a lot for me to handle cause I HATE PLOT TWIST. But the previous hostel movies had a lot of plot twist too. This one was a lot though. Too much to handle.
Anyways, the movie is decently fucked up. I've seen the commercial for Evil Dead and I'm sure that movie is pretty goddamn fucked up. Hostel isn't that fucked up. I don't want to ruin the deaths of people for y'all but let's just say someone gets their skin pulled off of them which is pretty fucking disgusting to me. It's a fucked up movie, plot wise, but the deaths weren't too bad. There's this one part where one of the guys chops off another guys arm and it's not gross or anything but THE GUY IS LIKE "OMG I'M BLEEDING LET ME PUT MY HAND OVER THE BLOOD GUSHING OUT OF MY ARM" I WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND WHY IT'S SOMEONES FIRST INSTINCT TO TOUCH AN OPEN WOUND WITH THEIR BARE HANDS. LIKE YOUR WHOLE ARM IS CHOPPED OFF YOUR FUCKING HAND ISN'T GOING TO STOP IT FROM BLEEDING. I think someone touching open wounds are so disgusting. But only if it's big. Like a whole fucking arm chopped off, don't touch that. That's nasty and it made me cringe like, I was legit screaming when it happened. I DIDN'T LIKE THAT. Oh shit! The most important plot twist, well actually it's important but it's the entire ending of the movie and I don't want to ruin it if you plan on watching. Let's just say IT'S THE BIGGEST PLOT TWIST OF THE ENTIRE MOVIE. And I really didn't see that shit coming.
It was alright. I'd give it a 4/10. I also closed my eyes for some of the deaths because I don't know? When I know it's gonna be gruesome, I tend to close my eyes even though I know exactly what is going to happen. Also, I don't know if it's just me, but I tend to laugh A LOT during these films. Even though I'm scared shitless, such unrealistic things happen that crack me the fuck up. For example, they dress the people up before they're going to be killed and they were dressing one of the girls up and the guy sniffs her before he dresses her?!?! I'm like okay you're about to set her up to be killed, don't smell her. Also, one of the guy chops an already dead guys head in half AND I COULDN'T STOP LAUGHING. It was hilarious.
It was nice to watch I guess. These movies aren't ever good but it's something to watch. Before you watch: it's gruesome, there's nudity, there's a shit load of plot twist (as I stated before) and if that pisses you off, here's your warning.
Watch it if you want, I say fuck this movie. Also, excuse all me errors. I tend to fuck everything up
