#my second attempt

Here is the paint pouring art I did earlier this week. It does not photograph very well. The big gray area in the middle is more bluish than it looks right here. My favorite part is the upper right corner.

I couldn’t find all of the recommended supplies, so I mixed the paint with water. I prepped the canvas with gesso, then put a thin coat of hair oil on it once it was dry.

My biggest mistake is that I didn’t put enough paint in my cup so I had to add more after I’d poured the first bit.

It also seemed a bit plain so I flicked metallic silver paint all over it.

Oh hey guess who spent all night glaring at that first picture of Nathan Explosion. This chick. Yep.

Grated it was the first thing drawn in years but I was SO ANGRY with it. It bothered me. I got too technical and I got stressful and that's why I stopped drawing to begin with.

Think about it: There’s probably one bathroom (or refresher as they call it) on the Ghost right, maybe two? And Sabine has to keep up with her hair by re-dying it constantly so it doesn’t look like and Imperial ship leaked on it. Imagine the bathroom sink covered in hair dye and hair dye stains. Marked with slightly faded shades of various blues, and oranges and indigo from the not so long ago past, staining the sink with vibrancy. And the smell of hair dye and even bleach from when she tried to clean it, lingers in the bathroom and it irritates Hera a bit because come on, it is her ship.

But honestly, Sabine’s individuality and creativity means so much to everyone on board, including Chopper that Hera more often than not lets it go. Currently, when she sees the faint splatter of a light-ish purple, bordering on a gentle lavender, it’s like a breath of fresh air to not only Hera, but to the rest of the crew, with the galaxy so bleak due to the Empire. Just like the rest of Sabine’s art that scatters almost every surface, it’s refreshing and lively.

So yeah, Zeb grumbles about the smell, slightly too strong for his sensitive Lasat nose. Almost to the point it scrunches and his ears flatten in mild objection.

 And Ezra whines and bangs on the door whenever she’s fixing the shade of her hair, just wanting a hot shower after a long day of mischief and Jedi training. 

Kanan, man, the Jedi just wishes he could see the dyed sink one more time, regretting never really appreciating much, because he is sick of seeing nothing but darkness. To the point of frustration, he curses the Force, because it is pretty much useless in this case.

Chopper just beeps at it and rolls away, unsurprisingly.

Hera, it takes her a while to get use to it every time. And she always wonders, “which color scheme will be next?”
