I spotted this gorgeous skink yesterday. He was under an old flowerpot. After I moved it, he popped up out of the dirt and stayed there for 2-3 minutes before burrowing back under the ground. I thought it was a snake at first so I was glad to see the feet lol
I had an Ambien. Went to sleep, then woke up still feeling the effects.
I just wanted to say that I caught a glimpse of myself in a mirror today. I wasn't thinking about anything at the time but I looked in the mirror and was surprised to see myself smiling. Smiling! Just a slight smile instead of the blank depressed face that was my default for years. For decades! I was surprised that my resting face, even if just for today, was a small smile. And I think that's a beautiful surprise. To be surprised by joy
After 30 years with the wrong person, I am learning who I truly am. And she is pretty amazing. For the first time ever, I love myself.
Kids don't make my mistake. Don't waste the majority of your life with the wrong one. When you find the right one, it will feel like coming home. You'll be able to exhale and just vibe and enjoy each other. Live is too short for long mistakes. Heck even living alone is better than being with the wrong person. Do what makes you happy.
