Love your Raven fam. They're charismatic and philosophical, I can totally understand why everyone wants to follow them. If there's one thing I'd love to know more, but when they lose their memories following the events of KOTOR, what happened to them? Are they the same, or do we see a different side of them? :3

lyn is less a new side of revan so much as they're a lot like how they were before they were revan; the jedi knight ryllind'r, the version that existed before getting invested in the mandalorian wars. but because they have little-to-none of the context to controlling and restricting themself as much as rye did, they just don't do it as much. as a result, they're quicker to fight and get aggressive, but they're also more willing to show their full range of emotions around strangers than rye ever was. this is due in part to their limited but still formative time inserted as an enlisted in the republic army — lyn never really shakes the code-switching that revan perfect and embraced being a little rough around the edges to fit in with their peers. as a result they were pretty popular on the endar spire. and that rough but compassionate disposition carried over to their time on the ebon hawk. they have a much healthier relationship with their own identity. [ palpatine voice ] ironic, isn't it?
lyn is build upon the same framework as revan, just with huge pieces of context missing and they do the best to fill in the gaps with whatever they figure out along the way. i've said before that lyn knows they have gaps in their memories and other symptoms of neurological problems and while they're not comfortable with them, they do their best to move forward with what they see as just. a chronic condition. if you knew they were revan, the change between revan and lyn seems like night and day, but that's more about how dramatically the wars warped revan then lyn being something new. there was a time when they were just eager to explore and be helpful to others even if it was annoying to their companions and lyn is a return to that in a lot of ways that ultimately saves revan from going full sith lord after their memories return. and because they don't really see themself as a true jedi, just a force-sensitive that got recruited as an adult because shit was desperate, they don't really mind it when they don't "act appropriately" as a jedi, even if bastila gets on their case.
unfortunately the other side of the coin is that revan is still simmering underneath it all. the jedi and bastila do their best to gaslight the shit out of lyn in order to keep it all buried, but it still creeps up sometimes. and as the events of kotor progresses and lyn starts to question things, they start to lose their trust in the guidance the jedi are claiming to provide. i also hc that lyn picks up more memories about revan then what's seen in the games, many of which are much more disjointed and subtle, and more than that they retain the rage. it's gaslit away as an anger issue because of the brain damage but it's still there and lyn has a lot less shame about tapping into it then rye ever did.
post-kotor is genuinely the worst time for them though. they're extremely unstable, and while they do recover from their initial psychotic break they never really heal, fully. their relationship with the order never improves, but they're basically forced to remain a jedi or else get hunted down by the republic. their contact with the ebon hawk crew becomes more limited, and the order itself shows no interest or inclination towards helping lyn with their condition beyond helping them manage their more dangerous symptoms such as their dissociative episodes and hallucinations. anything towards the realm of encouraging them to get their memories back risks the return of revan. their biggest advocate, in fact, is bastila, which is it's own can of worms due to her also being the most visible and active perpetrator of what was done to them. this, more than a lot of things, is why when they get enough of their memories back to stop being lyn and start being revan again, they're much more firmly dark-sided, even if only just so. it's still the closest to healing they are able to manage but it's wretched and misshapen. the mental equivalent of a bone healing wrong because it was never set properly. lyn post kotor is unstable and poorly coping with being a prisoner in everything but name. revan post kotor is bitter and caustic and deeply afraid. of the jedi, of themself, of everything they still don't know. of seeing anyone from the ebon hawk ever again. and their rage gains new depths they didn't think possible.
