I was only informed today, by my uni, that I can be exempt from disecting animals. Hopefully my professor will honor that today. But I'm going to apply for the exemption immediately.
It wont affect my study much since I am specializing on plants and mushrooms anyway. It's just a mandatory basic class for all biology students.
At first I was mad, that they didn't inform us at the beginning of the year. But apparently my uni is known for that and many animal protection organizations are against my uni. So fuck them I guess.
If it wasn't the only affordable uni for me, were I could study botany, i wouldn't have chosen this one, anyway. I just hope they except the exemption.
Haven't killed a single animal in 21 years and I want to keep it that way.
