the mighty nein to me are like Creatures Under A Rock. if you try to lift the rock, they bite your hand. the Creatures Under A Rock then take their rock and scurry to a new place like a bat out of hell. then you check and the place where they once were and there's a handwritten book titled How To Solve World Hunger and Achieve Peace. it has detailed findings and practical solutions on how to solve the problems of the town. it has dick drawings in the margins. this repeats. in another town they leave behind 50000 gold pieces to fund the local orphanage. they cut off the fingers of the person who tries to lift the rock. then in another town they Find a Cure for the Plague. they shoot anyone who comes close to the rock with arrows. finally, someone manages to lift the rock without dying. underneath is another rock. the rock you lifted was just an illusion. you blink and they're in the next town already.
