She stood, end of hallway. His Majesty -- how she hated having to call him that -- would have to come by sooner or later, and thus she could approach him. He couldn’t avoid her forever, afterall. Sure, he could try, but trying only got so far. Why was it that she hadn’t seen him in hours? Had he done something worthy of being reprimanded? Was he afraid that she would be the one to give it to him? 

Lost in her own thoughts, she had almost missed his scurrying, and had it not been for loud shuffling, she likely would have. Hadn’t he just -- 

Brows furrowed, lips curling downwards into a frown.      He was avoiding her! 

Quickly, she followed, voice calling out for him. 

She had been throwing up illusions left and right to protect her identity as she strolled through the market place for supplies, it was always hers or Mabeth’s job to do the shopping considering they could get in and out without any trouble, when she spotted the familiar figure and instantly burst out laughing. There were a few blue locks sticking out of his hat and she’d know those eyes anywhere, she’d memorized them for the purpose of killing him but not it was just to find him with whatever ridiculous bullshit he had them doing, ridding her face of all amusement now though she approached the man and dropped her illusion with her hands resting on either hip.

Whilst on their S-Class job to get Lucy some Jewels to pay for her rent whilst she was away in Edolas with him the pair grew somewhat closer, it began as Lucy thinking about what her guild mates would think about her going to Edolas and what would happen if Lucy returned with a child (not one of her own, more like a field trip for an Edolas child). Mystogan was startled by the thought, more the idea of making a child than being a parent, and relieved when the blonde reassured him she didn’t mean one she’d had with him but instantly grew curious as to why he would be concerned about being a parent.

Instantly Lucy believed that there was something wrong with her and she started going through a list of possible reasons of what might be a problem and eventually settled on asking if she wasn’t attractive enough, to which Mystogan replied that she was “very aesthetically pleasing”, not really knowing how to compliment a woman. They went on to discuss how one would compliment a person and Lucy continues to try and figure out what had made him so freaked out over having a child and she began to get closer to him, trying to make him flustered enough to answer her.

Working a little too well he goes on to confess that it’s not the idea of having children with her so much and as he tries to back away he trips and causes both of them to fall over, Lucy now laying on top of him. Finally, in attempt to get her to stop moving on top of him, he explains that it is not the idea of having children but more so the actions required to make them and confused she asks him why, considering it’s supposed to be an enjoyable act.

He goes on to explain that he isn’t overly fond of new experiences and they then begin discussing the urges that they get, regardless of whether or not they act upon them. This leads to them discussing whether or not they have had urges regarding other people and/or a relationship before, of which neither of them have had. The conversation taking a turn now they discuss their living arrangements whilst in Edolas where Lucy admits that the idea of being in a separate wing away from anyone she knows is a little daunting and he suggests that if she want, she can use the hidden passages in the Palace to get from her room to his so she doesn’t have to be alone.

Finally realizing their positions, with Lucy lying on top of him, they realize that sleeping beside each may not be so awkward considering how comfortable they are and Lucy asks him to be her teddy. Not sure of what it would require Lucy then explains to Mystogan that it pretty much involves him allowing her to cuddle him like she currently is whenever she wants and cuddling her to sleep as well, she also confesses that she used to kiss her teddies.

This results in him asking if she would like to kiss him and whether or not she has kissed anyone before, startled by the fact she has not kissed anyone and would give him her first kiss he rolls them over and she confesses that she would like to kiss him as an ‘experiment’ to which he responds that he also has no experience in kissing but he would like to try it. He then kisses her softly at first which gradually grows more passionate and heated making Lucy pull away, reminding herself that they have to take things slowly, but not before admitting that they will most likely have no need to ‘act’ when they get to Edolas.

They had just returned from their job and Lucy was walking out of Master Makarov’s office with a smile on her face, he had been a little sad and rather suspicious as to why she would be returning to Edolas with Mystogan however he had allowed it given the fact she return home eventually. She didn’t want to tell her team though, knowing they would probably want to come with them or interrogate Mystogan until he fell asleep from how repetitive they were, so instead she simply walked over to where the man himself sat and rusted that the Master would explain when he felt appropriate.

Quickly explaining to him what had happened, keeping out specific details in case any Dragon Slayers heard, she then told him to meet her at her apartment in twenty minutes before quickly leaving to make sure that she had everything she needed crammed into the small bag that she was taking with her. It was only simple things, her novel, some mementos of her parents and team and the products she used to her daily routine alongside some basic undergarments.

If she were to be Lady Lucy Heartfilia once more then she would need to be wearing clothing from Edolas that Mystogan would supply her with, so with all of the things she’d be taking packed. She then made sure to move anything that was precious to her into the locked and, courtesy of Levy, rune secured closet before walking down stairs to give her Landlady the rent paid in full for the next year thanks to the fact the S-Class job they had taken; that had left her rolling in cash. She was really regretting not trying harder to move up the ranks.

Broken out of her thoughts by a knock at her door, she had to stop herself from running to answer it, knowing it was Mystogan considering he was the only person who would actually knock, she began to bubble with excitement. She couldn’t wait to see what Edolas was like now and how all the friends she had made of her counterparts were, she was also excited, and a tiny bit concerned, at how it would actually feel to travel between worlds. Opening the door to see the man who she would pretty much be dating whilst in Edolas standing there she smiled widely and slung her bag onto her shoulder.

Originally starting in this post Mystogan ( mxstogan ) and Lucy ( sutakinokipa ) greet each other in the guild hall and strike up a casual conversation resulting in him asking her how she is, after the events of Tartaros she was not coping the best despite the façade of happiness she put on daily and so she doesn't entirely know how to respond not wanting to lie to him. After attempting to dodge his question and realizing that neither of them were particularly happy they decide to move into a rune protected office upstairs, with Master Makarov’s permission, to discuss their problems privately without anyone overhearing.

Both of their curiosity getting the better of them Lucy eventually explains about sacrificing Aquarius to save her friends and family, in order to keep herself occupied she decides to accompany him when he returns to Edolas. In turn Mystogan, who Lucy insists on calling Jellal, explains that he is currently in Earthland to sort of his thoughts about the arranged marriage he will have to have with a bride of his choosing. His apprehension caused Lucy to remember her own arranged marriage and decided to offer him some ideas to help with his situation, however after much contemplation decided that the best course of action would be to show the Kingdom of Edolas that while he may not be betrothed he is in the process of finding a woman that would be fit to rule Edolas beside him if there was a connection.

As part of their plan Lucy will accompany Mystogan back to Edolas and he will court her, so that the people of Edolas would see him as more approachable and be assured that he was making every effort to find a bride and create an heir. There will be no actual definite statement saying that Lucy will be married to him, this will both buy Mystogan time with avoiding his arranged marriage and make him look as though he is putting the Kingdoms interests first, and therefore at the end if neither of them feel a connection Lucy will return to Earthland and Mystogan will have to find another solution for his problem.
