i have an Absolutely Not List which is basically a list of books i avoid like the plague/will not replay under whatever circumstance: across the void, baby bump, big sky country, passport to romance, save the date, sunkissed, witness DHDJDKFKKDDK i won’t touch any of the LIs from here because i just ew no i don’t like any of them at all by that default

omg yknow what fucking hot take but i don’t like mark collins from LoveHacks i’m so sorry if anyone who reads this likes him but JDJDKDKKD i used to really like LoveHacks, i’d put up with the whole chaoticness of jumping around into different POVs but after a while idk i started seeing mark as an indecisive person and the whole ‘best friend to lovers’ trope didn’t work for me especially when you have jaime lewis from wishful thinking or lily from bloodbound i mean cmonnnnnn but ye he’s a no for me

also sean from endless summer bc he reminds me of mason from litg i said this to chrisha yesterday and i haven’t stopped thinking about it since HJDKDKDKDKKDLDLLDLF

Faustus did very casually “date” several people at once prior to his relationship with Mason. Date meaning hanging out at the bar or being an open hookup for few people. He’s only focused on one person probably 2-3 times in his life.

Faustus will indulge in silly astrology memes as any other person (me) would but he doesn’t put much stock into it. He’s definitely been ghosted by someone who found out he’s a scorpio and so he might be a little sour about it all!

💅🏻 = Does your muse always try to look their best around their partner, or are they comfortable wearing anything around them?

OH I do love this question! Faustus likes to look his best no matter what (even if his best is soundly very punk-goth) so outwardly, he doesn’t change much. But if it’s just him and Mason at his apartment he’s comfortable changing into his silly cat print pajamas and throwing on his sparkly pink headband/butterfly clips in his hair. He definitely has a “nice” set of casual home wear and a “no one can see this” set of home wear.

the concept of traveling around to different places and meeting new people is really great but i think pb’s biggest mistake with this book is trying to bring it to a social media influencer level which admittedly is fine but with the way they went with the plot, they made MC a soloist who is forced to make friends with new people (again that’s fine) but what’s not fine is the selection of characters?? you can’t just dump a professional athelete in there, and some rich dude who’s supposed to be busy but is suddenly not because wAow he meets the truest group of friends a man can have like uh yeah no.

if pb is so adamant about having a book on social media influencers, then it should be completely about that. maybe MC could have travelled to meet other influencers, maybe start the book at a convention so we can befriend some people, and also come face to face with potential rivals!! we can work up our viewership for an award or whatever influencers have these days it’ll be way more interesting than someone who’s merely doing it to keep her job
