Odysseus’s specific and well thoughout uses of “I” and “we” shows his manipulative nature, but also the character development.
First couple saga, it’s a genuine “we.” It’s a genuine “we must move quickly” and “we’ll beat this storm!”
But near the end, it’s a manipulative “we’re so close to home, this can’t be where it ends.” And “we can get home.”
This also goes for whenever he used “brother” or “friend” with Eurylochus, and I’m sure there are other instances but I can’t think of them right now lalalalalala
