5. What is your favorite color?

Either black, turquoise blue or redish purple

7. Do you have any pets?

Right now I don’t. We had a canary bird when I was small; after that we had budgies/parakeets. First a blue one who could literally talk, then a green one who would only imitate sounds. After that I had two pet mice. My girlfriend does however share her two cats with me.

26. Have you ever been famous?

I wanna say almost? My high school friend Florence translated the first two Harry Potter volumes into Luxembourgish (no joke, our National Literature Center even lists her as an author here). Her father is a published linguist, and she just loves languages. So one year, on summer break, she sat down and translated the Philosopher’s Stone. For funsies, and we were all like “???” when she told us. Her father helped her to get the thing published, and back then she asked me if I wanted to draw the cover illustration for it - which I did. It showed Harry trying to catch one of the flying keys. I even was in an interview on German TV with Flo for that.

Unfortunately they ended up picking one of the illustrations that had already been used before; we believe Bloomsbury didn’t want to deal with paying another artist when they already had the rights to a couple of illustrations.

That picture resides with Florence now, and I don’t have a digital copy. It was drawn and painted by hand. I’m still super flattered that she even thought of asking me, and that I was even being considered as a cover artist for a series that means so much to me.

Oh, and I had my own radio show for four weeks. Every Friday from 3 to 4 pm. :)

47. What is your most expensive piece of clothing?

I am not entirely sure, but I believe it’s a winter coat. I usually go shopping when the sales are on.

66. Do you like long or short hair?

On me or on others? On me personally, I switch between shorter hair and longer hair. It was hip-long back in June, and I cut it to below my ears in early July. Now it’s past my shoulders. I had a pixie cut as a kid one time and hated it. 

On others? Whatever they feel most comfortable in.
