Phantom audiomedia on my listening list (that's not the musicals)
Just to keep it organised somewhere.
Big Finish Production - Phantom of the opera in 146 minutes (more on it and BBC programmes on Phantom here)
2. Zariya Hollow's "The Ghost in the opera house", a five part 31 hours and 27 minute immersive audio drama of Leroux's Phantom of the Opera adapted and translated from Le Gaulois, the paper where Phantom was originally published. The drama's name is a nod to “Das Gespenst im Opernhaus," the original German title of the novel. The drama script was adapted from the Phantomstheater's translation.
3. @emotionalmotionsicknessxx and @box5intern's podcast! Leroux Less travelled, a bi-monthly Leroux PotO recap (and everything connected to it) podcast on Spotify by Cara and Kristy.
4. Lindsay Ellis Phantom videos - they create them together with Angelina Meehan, and they were one of my first introductions to phandom, so I knew about Daroga misrepresentation and LND mess before I saw the musical for the first time. The history videos on phantom adaptations are extremely helpful, with those split before and after ALW musical; and of course the rant on the 2004 film (however messy, I really enjoy that adaptation, especially as a bonding thing to watch with other students who are amiable to listening to my phantom related rambles, but also it just gives me a cozy feeling with the nice colour correction and relative safe feel compared to stronger emotions the musical draws)
5. MazM: The Phantom of the Opera Walkthrough. A let's play of the MazM 'interactive history-based game', because I don't want to play it, but want to know the story. Here are playlists by Noire Red and by Regal (I haven't listened to either yet, but Noire seems to have calmer video titles, I might go with them).
6. MusicalSplaining podcast with Angelina, Lindsay and Kaveh Taherina. There are 3 poto episodes I found: the musical one, the 2004 film, and the Phantom of Paradise one - I know Angelina loves this adaptation, I should really watch that film. I also just like Lindsay's and Angelina's humour, and they discuss the Broadway productions from 10-15 years ago I think, and it sounds like it was such a fun experience to be able to watch it regularly with friends like that.
7. Dear Daaé: Backstage at The Phantom of the Opera with Ali Ewoldt, a vlog by Ali Ewoldt, a 2016 Broadway actress of Christine Daaé (and apparently the first Asian-American actress to play Christine!)
8. Daaé Days: Backstage at 'The Phantom of the Opera' with Sierra Boggess, the 2014 Broadway.com vlog by Sierra in the Majestic theatre
9. Finally, the MusicalHell channel reviews of different Phantom media! These are the ones I found from a quick search, there might be more: the 2004 film one, the other Phantom musical (I think it's the Rosen & Schierhornun 1990 one), the Leroux novel, the phantom of the paradise, LND (+ a separate commentary video).
