As a neopronouns user (and professional cringe teenager 😎) I don’t understand why people don’t like neos. All of the arguments I’ve seen are either ‘they take resources (?) away from REAL lgbtq people’, ‘it’s cringe’, or ‘it’s grammatically incorrect’.

First, ‘they take resources (?) away from REAL lgbtq people’. I don’t understand this argument, because what resources are you talking about?? You act like people who use neos have never been oppressed, then you turn around and bully us at every chance you get.

Second, ‘it’s cringe’. So what? That’s not an actual reason imo. The whole point of the lgbtqia+ community is a safe space for oppressed/‘cringe’ people, so when you try to push other oppressed people out, who is it for? Pick-mes who try to appeal to cis/straight people at every opportunity (example: ‘that friend that’s TOO wOkE’, or ‘im not WoKe enough for this’)?

Third, ‘it’s grammatically incorrect’. How?? In what way are neos grammatically incorrect, it’s just like using more common pronouns (she/he/they).

Last, imo it’s ableist to hate on neos because they were originally made for neurodivergent people (me) who can’t explain their gender in neurotypical terms.
