Noise and insect for both, please!
Noise: Name one sound your muse finds absolutely unbearable.
Edward: I don’t know about unbearable, but he dislikes silence. No whir of machinery or computers, no music, no ambient noise. Not in a “oh haha, Riddler doesn’t know how to shut up” way, but Edward is able to identify when his mind/progress is in a rut/he’s fallen into a bad rabbit hole, and that inactivity is usually accompanied by that quiet. He took up talking to himself to avoid it, using it as an indicator that he’s still “in his mind”.
Jonathan: He hates people whispering. It sets off a lot of bad memories of casual bullying, feeling judged and ostracized - he hates feeling like a victim. I’ve mentioned before in a separate ask, but Jon has a lot of social anxiety that he (rather unhealthily and sometimes literally) masks up, and I imagine he has paranoia around other people talking about him.
Insects: Name something your muse finds gross or annoying.
Edward: He gets very annoyed when people try to skip his explanations / interrupt him when he’s speaking - particularly his riddles. Not only is it uncouth, it shifts him off his rhythm, which is disconcerting since he prides himself on quick wit and adaptability.
Jonathan: He can be a bit of a hypocrite, but he doesn’t like seeing PDA or happy couples. This lessened after he got into a relationship, but he’s kind of just a hater and likes when other people are miserable.
