Here is my boy at 2.5. There’s so much I want to remember about this little person and freeze in time right now. He has the sweetest personality. He loves: butterflies, horns (“beep beep”), bubbles, gum (that pic is of him smelling bubblegum scented bubble bath, win!), buses, Mini Coopers, play cutting food, Peppa Pig (many of his pjs are girls’ Peppa ones), eggs, and hot dogs (ironic, as he’s vegetarian and has only ever had veggie dogs 😂). We read his favorite books over and over. He loves Richard Scarry’s “Cars and Trucks and Things That Go.” He likes to find Goldbug and particularly enjoys the last page where he is IN a horn. He also likes Very Hungry Caterpillar, The Wheels on the Bus, School Bus by Donald Crews, a vintage potty book by Mr Rodgers, and lots of books about food or featuring moons or baby emotions. He likes working the iPad and holding his “guys” which is what he calls his Playmobil figures. We have a nice little collection of Matchbox cars, and he enjoys holding the buses and helicopters. He sleeps with a foam hot dog as his Pooh Bear has sometimes other random things like a plastic strawberry that Velcro’s together so you can cut it. He loves his mama and his dada and seeks out often. He sticks closer to me these days and doesn’t run off as much which is a relief. He loves food and eating and if he sees you eating you damn well better be ready to share. When we drive past a Taco Time he yells “TACO!” And he’s always a little crazy for candy when he sees it. He’s an excellent climber, jumper and daredevil. He’s recently had an explosion of words. We’ve spent a lot of time in speech therapy but it’s all starting to come to him just now. He has makes for the girls and often will shout “Girllsss!” At them. He calls for Homer. The other night he randomly counted to 10 perfectly as I was putting him to bed. His first sentence was, “Two hot dogs!” He’s so full of personality and I’m just loving the daily excitement of his life. Mur-man, you are the best little dude and we love you.
