when i think about the potential on having roy as a single father and recovering addict i get upset. laurel’s addiction plot was done well on katie’s part, but like could you imagine?? should i even get into the mess that was connor hawke? i mean the whole legends episode was basically an au but now he’s diggle and lyla’s son. and by doing that, it takes away a good chunk of his characterization and makes his journey on finding who is he outside of being ollie’s son and green arrow moot. 

after seeing how the show has “progressed”, i think i’m okay with mia not existing. thea is not a bad character (she suffers from the same shitty writing all the women get) and i’ve came to enjoy her somewhat, but i know for a fact they wouldn’t know or be able to handle her story. and don’t even get me started with dinah. there are almost not words, and yet, there are all the words i could use to illustrate how angry and disturbed i am on how her and her entire legacy was handled. i think it could be thesis long. maybe one day i’ll actually write it.

even ollie’s rogues gallery got treated like shit. shado and eddie? some of the most interesting and complex comic villains out there. it was really cool to see the shift in their relationships with oliver after they came to be on somewhat good terms. but on the show? lmaoooo. they literally both got fridged so lol to any of that.
