I'm Sorry for saying this, but even when people try to raise awareness of Dissociative identity disorder, the media use it in their own way. They don't care that someone is trying to get more attention directed towards this seriously mis-understood illness. Using mulpicityandme as an example, which no direct meaning towards them, the Newspaper called Jake, Jamie, Eddie and Ollie "Characters." This insinuates that these are not real people. That Jess is infact acting and pretending to be them. It is not at all helping the mental health stigma-especially not about D.I.D. Im not saying it's the same for all media. But the majority of it is not at all helping people to understandd that it is a serious mental illness and should be treated as such. Its just the same as any other disease-And needs the recognition. They need to do something about it. Dem
