i can only imagine this scenario with reader with one of them at a time so like, progressively reader has these sweet little moments with each member of munagenius tell them about it and reader gets more confident each time.

obviously first up was with katie, i mean they kind of already had a moment but then reader wants to kind of practice coming out so they as katie to help. reader kind of cries through the whole thing but gets out the "im gay" part so it is a success.

second i feel matches the leighton coming out scene the best. and i think that moment could have been with any of munagenius but i am overwhelmingly leaning towards lucy for this scene.

lucy walks into readers room while they're crying and asks them whats wrong. its basically a carbon copy of the tv show scene.

here are somethings i think lucy would say to reader :

"(readers name) i am honored that you told me, i am so glad you feel safe enough with me to let you into such a intimate part of your being."

"you should feel so proud of yourself right now, it can be so hard to say what you just said"

reader was previously dating a member of munagenius, they broke up, and then reader and another member start dating a few years later omg it would be so funny 😭

okay so like imagine reader and jo were dating back in like 2018. they had a good relationship with eachother, they were together for like 6 months. but then they both kinda realized that they didn't really love eachother in a romantic way, it was purely platonic.

so they split up, and stayed friends. however!!! they kind of lost contact due to the pandemic.

fast foward to 2023, reader is now dating lucy. reader and lucy haven't been together very long but when the boys go on tour reader is surprised to find out that their ex is one of the openers.

reader tells lucy ofc, and lucy laughs and thinks the whole thing is funny.

when reader told lucy why her and jo had broken up she completely understands. she also understand that they both are friends and nothing more.

jo also doesn't know that lucy and reader are together so is happily surprised to find lucy's arms around her when the boys and muna meet up.

jo and reader hug and greet each other talk about their lives. reader is super happy for jo and kelli and jo is equally happy for reader and lucy.

everyone is at dinner when jo starts telling a story and reader interjects.

"a couples years ago there was this one restaurant near my old apartment that had the funniest chef who always used to tell the corniest dad jokes and they were so hilarious!"

"omg jo! wasn't that place called like 'sunset cafe' or something?"

"yes omg do you remember going there?"

"yes! they had the best cold brews,"

everyone is kinda all like 🤨🤨🤨

naomi speaks up "wait do you two know eachother?"

you nod and jo replies "yep! we used to date actually! long time ago!"

reader and her boyfriend have been together a few months. and he is super sweet, caring and kind. reader loves him- platonically - she loves hanging out with him and talking but anything else (like dates and kissing and romance) she doesn’t really enjoy.

she hears her friends talk about how much they love their boyfriends, how atttractive they find them. but reader looks at her boyfriend and just wants to go bowling with him- not make out with him.

but when she looks at her instagram and she sees her crush from munagenius post she gets all googlily eyed and her jaw drops. she could imagine kissing her.

this gets reader super stressed out, at first she feels like a horrible person. “why am i more attracted to my best friend than my boyfriend?”

i could see reader distancing themselves from everyone, her boyfriend and munagenius.

that’s when katie comes in and talks to reader

“hey baby, i’ve noticed you’ve been a little off lately. anything going on with you and (boyfriends name)?”

reader shakes her head “no! no it’s nothing he did. it’s- it’s my fault.”

“what happened?”

“nothing i just. i think something’s wrong with me.”

katie pauses, “what do you mean?”

“just- i love him. i do. but not like my other friends live their boyfriends. and i don’t find him attractive like im supposed to.”

“sweetheart, that’s not your fault if you don’t find him attractive or if you love him as a friend.”

“i feel like a bad person. i just can’t love him how he wants me too. not when-“

“babe its okay, i promise. you aren’t a bad person for not having feelings for someone.

“katie can i ask you something?”

“yes honey, of course.”

i imagine readers music is more focused on friendship or childhood memories and less on love because of their questioning nature.

since reader has been seen with a lot of the members of muna and boygenius there has been a lot of speculations on their sexuality and reader gets really anxious when they see those videos/ posts.

when reader is around munagenius they feel more at home than ever, with their closest friends ever. but sometimes when the conversation skews about the boys exes or any relationship anyone had reader starts to tune out, or sit back.

reader shuts any conversation down about their sexuality.

when they start to realize they are developing a crush one of their friends they freak out and shove it down deep for a while. reader tries to be like “pfhhh we’re just friends!” until they realize like no, because a friend wouldn’t look at them and then their head starts spinning and their palms for sure wouldn’t go clammy if their feelings for them were purely platonic.

i think reader would try bringing it up in a group setting but would get intimidated.

everyone’s got these labels and reader is like “how the hell do people figure this shit out???? 😭” and stop they use google for so much stuff.

the first person to notice would be like lucy or katie. she would have overseen one of the quizzes open in a tab and ask you about it, very casually as to not alarm you. she’d be very gentle with you and very understanding.

she would convince you to tell the person you like that you like them. and also remind you that you don’t owe anyone a label, you’re you, calling yourself bi or lesbian or straight or pan doesn’t change who you are at all.

when you tell the person you like them, they smile and bring you in for a hug. “thank you for telling me, i like you too :))” and you two live happily ever after
