Committee: Economic and Financial Affairs Council - C2 Agenda: Economic Resonance during COVID-19 Goals: Overcome the economic crisis impact Delegate of: Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Represented by: _______ Honorable chairperson and fellow candidates, on account of this pandemic the Sub-Saharan Africa region is unfortunately seeing economic growth reverse as low as -5.1%. Noting with deep concern, this phenomena has paralyzed most of the economic activities which translates loss of nearly $150 million in every financial sector. The Ethiopian government has considered subsidizing with the Development Assistance Group (DAG) $1.6 billion of emergency funding to help keep them afloat during this crisis, and is also currently formulating a 10-year prospective development plan with the UN. The government should see this as an opportunity to invest in public goods hence come up with Recovery Action Plan: A Green Deal based on disinvestment on carbon-intensive sectors and investment in carbon-neutrality of production. The economic crisis resulting from the current health crisis must not become an excuse to delay the action on environmental sustainability – this would only create even more severe problems in the future both for the economy and public health. Instead, Ethiopians must see the synergies between the massive investments that will be necessary to boost the economy. When thousands of Ethiopians lose their jobs due to COVID-19, let us make sure the new jobs we stimulate are green jobs. And to finance this plan, new resources need to be at disposal of the Union. The Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) needs to be bigger than the currently negotiated proposals and should be directly managed by the Union as well as targeted on the member’s states’ implementation of the objectives and the measures as set out in the Action Plan.

Okay, word through the grapevine about this letter written by ex-RWBY-animator Shane, has finally caught my attention. Yes I read it and yes I've had time to think about it. And just to get this outta the way and hopefully try to help some of y'all who are trying to understand what the letter was about, this is my input on the subject: Yeah, I see and understand everything Shane had said in that letter. It's kind of a shock to hear that such actions have been done by RT, but then again... I'm also not so shocked. RT is what it is and what it is is a business. It's a company. Companies make money and look for ways to make more money. This could be the reason why they keep extending the times between Sponsors and public members on new content. It's like they're trying to "push" people into becoming sponsors. Though it's a small nudge. Nobody's holding a gun to your head and forcing you to become a sponsor. lol No production company is perfect nor will there ever be one. Changes will be made to storylines. I see and hear about it all the time. Creators even had to make last-minute changes to a storyline they've worked on for years just for reasons that benefit any income. It is terrible to hear that they treated Shane, Sheena, and friends in such a disrespectful fashion, and it confuses me as to why RT would do such a thing. Perhaps they'll explain it in their response to this letter. (If they make a response) But even with such allegations being made about RT and RWBY, I'm not gonna stop watching their content. I will looK at it in a different light, but I've stuck with RT too long to leave them for the reasons said in the letter. It is hard to continue following them, but as I said, I've followed them for years! So I've seen what they've done and are currently doing. No company is without its imperfections and problems will occur amongst company employees. I do hope RT takes to this letter with opened minds and realize that they've done something that could really effect their future projects. I do hope RT does what they can to fix such mistakes, but it may take time. So I'll give them time, and I hope you guys will, too. :3
