North Portland Library has served the Black community in Portland since its opening in 1913. In this photo we see the Bradwell family enjoying the library and its resources. This past weekend the North Portland branch celebrated its grand re-opening after undergoing renovations and the construction of a new Black Cultural Cultural Center to serve generations to come. Check out the refreshed spaces and beautiful new artwork created in partnership with the Regional Arts and Culture featuring artwork by Kayin Talton Davis, Sadé DuBoise and Melanie Stevens.
