Here's my own contribution to the HLX bandwagon with the Lambda logo multiplexed with the accompanying text.

To be absolutely clear, I'm more of a "pacifist" fan of the series (more familiar with the fan-works), however I too am hoping for the release of the ever-so-infamous third installment (it's been literally two decades at this point, it's so tiring seeing the memes all the time... :/).

PSXcelsior Logo Concept

This is a logo concept for a fictional emulator that really is a 100% PS1 sideblog I'm planning on creating. It will mostly focus on personally ripped graphics from the games through jPSXdec (special thanks to m35!) heavily influenced by @systemst91 's @psxexe blog, kinda like a "fork" of that "emulator" (with a tint of inspiration from a few other PSX blogs). It will expand into more than just ripped graphics over time with GIFs, videos and soundtrack support. :P

The lowercase e in the logo is a reference to the first letter of my real name. The codename Poincare is a reference to the previously considered name for Gordon Freeman (Half-Life) Dyson Poincare, making it a sideblog of a sideblog. :P

Anyway, the blog will act as a permanent substitute for the #psxrip tag, as I really had no intention of posting them here, since I wouldn't like to divide you all from HL-related reblogs (although there will occasionally be PSX stuff from others, like GIFs, videos and pics :P).

Here's two of my recent attempts at multiplexed pictures made for @systemst91's birthday (which I think it's today, as far as I remember anyway).

This one is a bit shoddy looking, but I crammed in as many shapes as possible, including the transparent flower shapes.

A more "technical" one I did. It's using a technique I'd like to call "Feedback Multiplexing". Here's some tech notes below:

Basically by setting the Feedback Scale to 32 and all RGB colors set to 16, you create a "freeze frame" of the previous "bar" of the video. On that bar, after placing shapes cleverly enough, like so...

...you can put more shapes in the next bar, which makes it so there are seemingly more shapes than 4 (in that case it's 5 total), which is, quite frankly, very limited I admit. 🤓 This is how it looks like behind the scenes in the editor (the feedback here is crucial to the technique).
