Ahh, tbh I don’t think it’s Kensuke because whoever Kyle is communicating with is probably some sort of Big Bad and I just absolutely can’t see Kensuke ever being a bad guy, haha. I think Kyle is texting Ashram. The Shady Phone Stuff, the fact that Certain Characters are in America right now, the NY Bulls being relevant again, and Kyle’s Creepy Mask all just really screams “Snake Pit/Requiem Project” to me. Also the fact that the Snake Pit arc was never actually properly concluded in s2 makes me think that Ashram is prooobably not irrelevant quite yet. He retreated too peacefully at the end of s2, He Clearly Has Not Given Up – I’m fully expecting him to pull some bullshit again here in s3. Though this may be a bit of wishful thinking on my part, because I really REALLY want to see Ashram and the Snake Pit back in the plot JUST so I can watch the Pit get explicitly shut down/destroyed, and Ashram thrown in jail hhhhhhhhh I want CLOSURE! x_o

It is really odd that Kyle has a Kerbeus despite seemingly having no connection to Kensuke whatsoever, though :/ I’ve heard that a few ChouZ versions of other older beys are set to be released sometime soon, which got my hopes up for seeing the characters the original versions belonged to again, but now I’m wondering if we’re just gonna get more new characters with those new versions of the old beys hhhrgh I really hope not…I love Kyle, but I wish he didn’t have a Kerbeus. They should’ve brought Kensuke back if they wanted to sell more Kerbeus beys imo, and they could just give Kyle a Kitsune or something – that’s a traditional Japanese fox mask he’s wearing, anyway.

Not too many yet! I’ve never been terribly enthused about the actual competitive aspect of the toyline, I just collect the spintops because they’re pretty, so I don’t even know what the new gimmick is yet even though I think someone’s already mentioned it and I just forgot immediately, haha

Hm...hard to say, I’m actually very easy to please in regards to aesthetics! Of course I like dark grungy shit, but in BeyBurst it’d feel extremely out-of-place to have a whole SEASON be thematically grim instead of just, a few gothy characters existing here and there. It’d feel too forced and Edgy.

But honestly, if they can pick basically any aesthetic and then STICK to the Look™ really religiously, I’d probably be happy! Just Pick One Thing And Do It Really Well, like the circus theme in Gachi! At least in the first half of the season, they went REAL hard with it.

Also...I kind of want this season to be the last season of Beyblade Burst.

I love BeyBurst dearly of course, but it’s felt like it’s being worn a little thin for awhile now. I don’t want to see it devolve into a completely soulless moneygrabbing toy advertisement with no real, well, Spark lmao, left in it. I would like to see it close up in a neat and tidy conclusion, finish tying off all the loose strings still left hanging from as far back as season two, and then bow out gracefully.

And the way it’s evidently bringing back all the Most Beloved older characters makes me feel like it might actually be doing that. Bring everyone back for one last hurrah, to let us say goodbye to the gang properly. I’d really love to see every semi-important named character show back up over the course of the season, even if only just for a minute or two apiece, just to let us see how everyone’s been doing over the years. I’d love some closure.
