Celebrations and the like are beneath him, Shuu liked to believe. But it wouldn't hurt to reach down to the level of his inferiors every now and then, would it? Observing so many types of people at once in their...natural habitat would do a lot to further his research. He'd spent some time in the grandiose party Eden Tower was hosting-- after a while he got bored went out into the town. They'd insisted he wear a red string around his wrist in a silly show of superstition, Â which he didn't have much fondness for. For a second he wanted to tug the thing off, but decided last minute that it would be a good opportunity to get to interact with someone, and it would be a waste if he didn't fully immerse himself in this occasion.Â
He had no problem seeing without his spectacles- he had a pair of untouched contact lenses for that. A plethora of couples with wrists tightly linked with the telltale red string, and lone party-goers with theirs untied were wandering about. Virtually every person in sight were wearing masks from the outrageous and glamorous to the simpler ones. Somehow he'd found his way on a bridge overlooking a narrow branch of the river that snaked into a portion of the town. Attempting to slip through the crowd, he stopped short when he felt a tug on his wrist. A glance behind his shoulder told him that the red string tied snugly around his wrist has been caught on someone else's.
