Everything that happens to us - even events that we may consider to be personal afflictions or calamities - are from Allฤh.
Therefore, in times of calamity and distress, there will be some good for us, provided we respond appropriately.
Prophet MuHammad ๏ทบ said:
ูุงู ุฑุณูู ุงููู ๏ทบ: " ุนูุฌูุจูุง ูุฃู ุฑู ุงูู ุคู ูู ุฅูู ุฃู ูุฑูู ููููููู ููู ุฎููุฑู ูููุณู ุฐููู ูุฃุญูุฏู ุฅูุง ููู ูุคูู ูู ุฅููู ุฃุตูุงุจุชูู ุณูุฑููุงุกู ุดูููุฑู ููุงูุชู ุฎููุฑูุง ููู ูุฅูู ุฃุตูุงุจุชูู ุถูุฑููุงุกู ุตูุจุฑู ููุงูุชู ุฎููุฑูุง ููู ".ย ุฑูุงู ู ุณูู .ย
which means:
How wonderful is the case of a Believer! (Muslim).
There is good for him in whatever happens to him - and none, apart from him, enjoys this blessing.
If he receives some bounty, he is grateful to Allฤh and this bounty brings good to him. And if some adversity befalls him, he is patient, and this affliction, too, brings good to him"ย
ููู ุฌุฏูุฏ ูุนุชุจุฑ ูุฏูุฉ ุฌุฏูุฏุฉ ูู. ุชูุจู ุงููุฏูุฉ ูุฃูุจู ุนูููุง ูุงุณุชุฎุฏู ูู ุฌุฒุก ู ููุง ูุชุญููู ุฃูุฏุงูู. ุฎุทุท ูููู ู ููููู ุฃูุถู ู ู ุฃู ุณู ุฅู ุดุงุก ุงูููโ

This means: โThe best of what I and the Prophets before me have said is, โthere is no god except Allaah. He is the only God and there is no partner with Him'." This is related by Imam Malik, at-Tirmidhiyyย and others.
