Mudstones keep getting unearthed in my yard for some reason

Red mudstones, sandstones and products of their weathering. First two photos were made in Trutnov, Czech Republic and last two in Wolbromek area, Poland. They are all of Permian age.

starting a new painting, using multicolored mudstones found at the ice age moraine, Moroccan red ochre from Kremer Pigmente, charcoal, Roetel (Sanguine) and pens made from yellow ferric clay from my home town. Sometimes a piece will chip off from the mudstones, but that's no big problem. The lines drawn with the Roetel, the ferric clay and the mudstones can be washed with water easily. I’d always wished I had a brother or sister. In my view it would have taken me out of focus. The neighborhood was rampant with large families exceeding their quota of jubilation. The sounds of laughter constantly emanating from houses to which I had never been invited, I wanted to spark a revolution through which cohorts would come to rely on each other out of necessity. I felt deceitful, as they did not seem to need the closure I sought. No, theirs was a different reality. They were not seeking a cure for their happiness.

It is not like me to admit to details that might expand or restrain others’ perceptions. I attend to my own faults. There is nothing I could say to enhance your desire. I took a walk by the old canal and to entertain myself skimmed stones across the surface of the water with an exact aim of perfecting a lost skill. Most just fell without show, and it was what I deserved. A passing couple, elderly, tut-tutted, bringing down the curtain on my performance. This town does not appreciate comeback attempts. I recalled such before I began, but you weren’t supposed to know that.
