The beloved month is finally upon us, alhamdulillah.
It's been such a difficult year for most of us, with work, school and other commitments that we usually push religion to a side until we really need it for personal benefits. But this month has such power... Such unimaginable blessings that the one who does not wear hijab covers her hair, the one who swears guards his tongue and the one who does not pray sheds his tears in sujud. Subhan'Allah, there are millions and millions of people all around the world, rich, poor, old, young, men and women, all of us, going through the same pain, for the same cause...
When on that day, we shall be called in front of our Lord and He will ask us, what have we done with the health that He had given us? The wealth that He bestowed upon us? The youth that He gave us? The time that He spared for us? The life that He breathed into us? What should we answer, O people? How should we answer Him that has created us with His own figurative hands? Should we say that we were so busy with the life of this world that blinded us, that we could not spare a moment for Him? Should we say through the tears that we were so blinded that we did not think this day would come upon us? But this day will come, my brothers and sisters, this day will come upon us so fast that we shall feel as if it was only yesterday that our mothers had given birth to us, only yesterday that we had tasted the sweetness of the dunya and we had not the time to give thanks for what we have been blessed with.
So come. This is the opportunity that we have been so craving, that we have so been yearning for. Come and let us discard the bittersweet taste of the dunya, a temporary deception, and focus our vision on the goal that we are set from the moment that we are borne into this Earth. This is our salvation, our intercessor, our saviour. This is the month of Ramadan. This is our path to Jannah. Let the journey begin, Insha'Allah.
Oh You who takes by the forelock!
Save the one who is drowning in sin!
