aw, that sucks, but onto the third! What is the process you go through to make an AU?
Yeah, I know, Iām weird that way ^^ā
Hmm, the process I go through to make an AUā¦ well, thereās no really a process, some ideas pop up when iām talking to people (I was talking with flyingbra when the Dragon shapeshifters!AU idea came into my mindā¦I was also eating a meat sandwish at the time which huhā¦apparently I felt like a dragon when eating that meat *messed up much?*)
Other ideas can pop up when iām listening to a certain song, for example, in my Fma x Lotr crossover! AU I was listening to Lotr soundtrack so it was bound to happen sometime.
When watching a movie, that too can be a way to make ideas appear.
My brain is just random, sometimes I come up with ideas out of nowhere, I donāt have to listen to anything, think about anything, watch anything.. It just happens. (I wish this happened when I was in college, random Ideas for projects would have been useful)
I cannot be under pressure, itāll only make my brain blocked. I, unfortunately, do not work well under stress.
Hmm, prompts by other people may also help me give ideas to come up with a AU along with a small part of a plot. For example, mthaytr once suggested me to draw punk!ed and I did so. As I did that drawing, I also came up with a history behind the drawing along with a tiny bit of a plot.
So here it is, my darling, there isnāt really any process.Ā
Though if I would suggest a way to help you clear your mind, would be listen to music, think about places you would like to go or what would it be like if you lived somewhere else.Ā
Think about what you would imagine a certain character do. Nothing to specific, simple stuff. I once looked at my cat and I thoughtĀ āI can totally see Ed coming home late from work and tripping on one of Alās cats and hitting face first on the floorā
Reading other peopleās fanfics may also help creating new AUās, nothing like theirs tho! You donāt want to be accused of stealing anyoneās idea! :O
