I feel like I always ask you guys questions but you're the most reliable source I have, so I trust your answers. If my friend casts an Elvish Visionary, can I cast a Thought Scour in response to the draw trigger to mill the top two before they draw it? I basically won a round because of that play so I want to make sure it's a legitimate play.
You can do this.
Anything that begins with âWhen,â âWheneverâ or âAtâ â such as Elvish Visionaryâs enters-the-battlefield ability â is a triggered ability. This means that when the triggerâs condition is met, the ability triggers and is put onto the stack. Players can then respond to the trigger before it resolves just like any other spell or ability on the stack.
