new things
So I haven't been out of Auckland city centre much in the past two weeks, but I have been hanging around with some new friends, and met a very special someone the past week.
I keep seeing new places each day, and seeing things I've never seen before. I discovered nightlife at the waterfront in Auckland last night, and it was the best night I've had all month. The places down there are just so much classier...where have I been!?
I went shopping during the week with a friend I hadn't hung out with in a while, it was really nice to reconnect with her again. I got some boots and a cute top, I feel so kiwi in my new clothes! :)
I went to the top of Mt. Albert last weekend with my friend, and saw the entire city. There are so many dormant volcanoes in Auckland, when standing at the top of one, I've counted as many as 12 in a field of view. I want to go to more! I've been to Mt. Eden, Mt. Victoria, and Mt. Albert so far.
I'm hoping we'll go to Mt. Eden again or possibly One Tree Hill tomorrow. I just need to get out of the city for a bit before this grueling week begins. I have a huge project (that I have steadily been making progress on, but its just so much work), and two papers for philosophy due before mid-semester break in two weeks. So looks like I won't be getting out out of the city for a few weeks (due to heavy studying), but I atleast want to get out of the city centre and see some beautiful things that are just within my grasp.
xx
