He was finally in control of his life. With your help, he had left the horrible cult, and out of the blondes control, he was free to become himself, to finally have the option to choose. He had never had the decision to choose, all decisions were made for him, until you came. He didn’t think bringing you to the cult as a spy was a good idea, he could have done it himself,but he chose you. The first choice he had made,the one to bring you to him, was the decision that ultimately saved his life.

He was no longer under control. He could finally eat normally. It takes a long time for him to actually eat more than a few snacks a day. It takes even longer for him to begin eating three full meals a day. But staying by his side through it all was the motivation he needed. Without you, he wouldn't have gotten any better, without your help, he would have forgotten how to smile.

During your stay at Mint Eye, at first he had to pretend to smile. You were just here to complete a task after all, But after the first few days, he realized he wasn’t faking his smiles anymore. And a few days later, he was smiling even when you weren’t near, just at the mere thought of you. It wasn’t something that went unnoticed by those around him.

When you kissed him in the gardens, he was beyond words or emotions. Far beyond. Every coherent thought he had, was erased by the feeling of your lips against his own. Every single thought that filled his head from that time was the feel of the kiss. Even after being dosed with the elixir, the thought of the kiss in his head constantly infuriated him, because he didn’t want to admit to how much it affected him.

You stuck right beside him when he didn’t deserve it. He had said countless mean things to you, horrendous things, and yet you stayed. You stayed right there and tried to fix him. He apologized every day since, and will continue to attempt to make it up until the day he dies.

You stayed when they found out about his brother. You stayed and helped him save his brother. He was prepared to sacrifice everything to keep you safe, but then you came back and saved him yet again. He would spend eternity making it up to you. Making sure you were happy and safe, because you saved and helped him and his brother get happy endings. And he couldn’t do it without you. So he would make sure you knew how appreciated you were.

His favorite part of the morning was waking with you by his side. That’s all Saeran could ever ask for. The soft breeze flowing through the room through the partly open window. Springtime seemed right around the corner, the fresh scent of rain from the night time present, and the faint scent of the blooming flowers in the garden behind the small home. It was the dream he had always wished for.

But that's all it would be. A dream.

He could feel his brother shaking his arm, jolting the white haired male out of his trance.

“Huh?” He grumbles, causing the redheaded twin to gasp dramatically and pull back, pretending to act concerned

“Saeran? So cold! I’m just trying to tell my darling brother some news!”

“What?” he grumbles.

“Well, the bride of the evening has been looking for you all night. Says she wants a dance and sent me to find you-” At Saeyoung’s words, Saeran can feel his cheeks heat up.

“She-She wants to dance with me?”

“Of course she wants to dance with you. You’re important to her. She loves you”

“I-yeah- okay.” He takes a breath, attempting to calm his racing heart. “I’ll go and find her then-”

At his words, Saeran stand s from his spot at the table, trying to find the bride of the party. When he finally spots the large white dress, he heads towards her, freezing when he sees her again. The lights in the venue made her stand out more, the flawless makeup look, the way she looked in her dress, everything. He was enamored by her completely.

When she noticed him, she eagerly made her way over to him, a bright smile on her face.

“Saeran! I missed you! I haven’t seen you since the ceremony!” (Y/N) says,

“Sorry, Saeyoung had-”

“No its okay! I’m just glad you’re here still! Come on, you owe me a dance- as my brother-in-law!” she smiles, pulling him to the dance floor.

He wanted this ending with you. He wanted to be the one you married. You had saved him, after those eleven days, and even the four after that, and then you found the reset button, going back to the start. But he never forgot like the rest of them did. He tried to mess with the system, to bring you back to him, but he couldnt break the games codes. So he had to watch as you fell for his brother and rescued him.

But you still haven't hit the reset button. It has been past the eleven days. And you still hadn’t hit the button. You weren’t coming back to him. You weren’t going to save him this time.
