I know this post is long overdue but fck it.
Guys! I finally graduated medschool!
I’ve lost friends and gained new ones. I’ve learned so many things not only about medicine but also on how to handle my patients, how to approach people in the work place.
I never considered myself toxic during duties nor was I benign, I’m juuuust right. Well, maybe because I view every 36 hr duty as a another opportunity to learn rather than just another dragging shift.
If there’s one advice I can give to the incoming clinical clerks, it’s this: Be Bold! Don’t be afraid of grabbing every opportunity to hone your skills! If you’re clueless on the procedure then there is no harm in asking! Be it your PGI, resident, consultant or our lovely friend, Google! But of course, be sure to verify your sources when checking stuff from our bff XD As what Dr. Lucman taught us, it’s our luxury to be stupid. So ask away!
And now, I’m currently having my internship at Northern Mindanao Medical Center. So far, so good. :)
