For Shutterbug Station 2025, Uno Reverse of the angst prompt(meaning fluff). @official-timari-server
Summary:
An akumatized Richard ‘Dick’ Grayson has turned everyone into fairytale characters— Marinette included. Now garbed in clothes she would never get caught dead in usually, Marinette must find a way to save the day. And fortunately for the girl, some people are way easier to get out of their fairytale than others!
Features: An irritated Damian with a frying pan, Titus in a cute costume, Tim sleeping, Jason being Jason(?), Bruce in a dress, and Dick needing a bigger fish bowl.
:)
“Oh fair maiden, with hair so golden it’s akin to the sun, and skin so fair and soft it’s akin to silk on a snowy day, shall thee lower your hair so I may slip inside to save thee’s family?” Marinette was kneeled in front of the tower of the bright pink castle, wearing shaggy and torn clothes. Her hair, which was usually in pig tails, seemed to have been harshly cut short. She looked like a poor thief or treasure hunter, which at the moment, she supposedly was.
“And who seeks— ladybug. Of course it’s you.” A harsh voice spoke out before Marinette suddenly felt something a bit heavy hit her in the face. Looking up, she noticed it was an extremely large braid of golden hair. Smiling, she moved back and got the braid off of her, before grabbing onto it. “Stop acting like you’re Shakespeare and get the hell inside.”
Marinette didn’t bother to answer the maiden, who she could easily guess who it was from the rude tone alone, instead slowly climbing up the hair. She almost slipped a few times when her raggedy boots got stuck, but eventually made her way to the large-ish window.
“Why hello, Rapunzel, do you know where the rest of your family is, in this monster of a castle?” Marinette grinned, looking at Damian who was grimacing as he tugged his hair out of the window. He was in a beautiful purple gown, with Titus beside him in a lizard costume. Which seemed the closest they would get to a chameleon at this time.
Damian groaned after getting the last of his golden hair out of the window and onto the tower’s floor. He turned towards Marinette, glaring at her.
“No. It looks like I can’t leave through the simple door right there, for some stupid reason.” He pointed at a currently purple door, of which seemed to change color and shape every few seconds. He sighed as he looked at her again, frowning. “Who are you supposed to be? Flynn Rider with that huge nose?”
“How dare you— it’s normal! But it seems so, fair maiden, as I doubt any other would be able to use your hair to slip inside.” Marinette giggled as she subtly backed herself towards the door.
“Oh hell no, you aren’t leaving without me, Ladybug.” Damian grabbed a nearby— wait nearby? She hadn’t seen it— frying pan, before nodding at Titus. “Based on the tale, you and I should be escaping together, which I’m sure my brother would be sure to enforce. I’m not waiting here while you go seek glory, we are going together.”
Noticing the frying pan Damian raised into the air and remembering how Rapunzel the movie went, Marinette just nodded. She leaned over, grabbing his wrist before turning around to open the door.
“I don’t see why you have to hold my wrist while opening the door.” Damian attempted to pull his hand back.
“Well, my maiden, they escaped together, and Dick values sticking to the main plan, so we are escaping as close together as we can both manage when we both know we’d rather murder each other.” Marinette grinned before yanking the door open and stepping into the hall with a pouting Damian.
“Hey, move out of the way!” A lower voice screamed, running by them with a large stack of dishes. The man continued running before abruptly stopping and turning towards them. “Damian? Ladybug?”
“Yep!” Marinette grinned at Jason, who wore Cinderella’s dress like a glove(if it had any buttons, she was sure they would pop. Not that she cared). She let go of Damian's wrist, immensely happy when nothing happened to either of them after she let go. “Is the rest of your family nearby?”
“Uh, yeah. Bruce is in the library and Tim.. is in the room covered with thorns.” Jason raised his brow, as if to say ‘are you stupid? How don’t you know where they are?’. Marinette just continued to grin.
“And where are those rooms?” Damian interrupted, crossing his arms.
“Library is that way and Tim’s room is over there.” Jason pointed in two opposite directions, making them notice that the hallway wasn’t actually very long, and only had four other doors. One was beside Damian’s, likely Jason’s based on the slipper design on the door, while two others were at the ends of the hall. The final door was right across from them, covered in chains.
“Thank you, Jasonrella! Well come back for you soon, promise.” Marinette waved at him as Jason just blinked before nodding, running towards his door(which was in front of him, so he was running in place).
“Just be here before the prince finds me— I don’t want to know who has a foot fetish among our group of characters.” Jason quickly opened his door, barely keeping the dishes from falling as he entered, closing the door behind him.
“We should split up.” Damian turned towards Marinette. “It’s more efficient. I’ll go save father while you go get Tim.”
“You’re right, but we probably won’t be able to separate again after this. I haven’t read the actual fairytale, but I know from the movie that they don’t separate but like once.” Marinette scratched her cheek. “And I’d prefer not to get shocked, like I saw others who refused to follow their fairytales did.”
“…Fine.” Damian muttered before walking off to the large wooden door that was accented with gold. Marinette rolled her eyes at his back before walking to the other end of the hall, where thorns covered the door. Fortunately, the doorknob was free from the thorny vines.
Marinette took a deep breath in before grabbing the doorknob and swinging the door open. A white light covered her and a bit of the hall, leaking from the room. It was a bit blinding, but she only needed a couple moments for her eyes to adjust.
“Tim!” She shouted into the room, walking in before closing the door behind her. The room looked like a royal’s bedroom, with plenty of reds and pinks. She walked past the couch, looking around before noticing the bed, which had sheets covering all angles to avoid showing what was on it. Also noticing the spinning wheel in the corner, that meant—
Marinette rushed over and yanked a blanket down, letting herself see what the bed was hiding— a beautifully resting Tim, sleeping beauty. She muffled her giggle into her hand as she admired how soft his face looked and how at peace he seemed to be while sleeping.
“Oh beautiful maiden, cursed with such peace in sleep, I dare to interrupt your tale early, for only I can be your true love.” Marinette bent over, leaning down to lay a brief kiss onto Tim’s lips. After a moment, his eyes fluttered open.
“Good morning, sleepyhead.” Marinette cooed, sitting down on the bed beside him. She brushed a strand of her out of his face. “Did I wake you?”
“Mmm.” He flipped to his side, turning towards Marinette and snuggling into her hand. His face was soft, though a bit cold. He seemed to seek solace in the warmth of Marinette’s hand.
“We have to rescue Paris, Tim. So you can’t go back to sleep.” Marinette leaned back down to kiss his forehead, before resting her head on top of his.
“Mm.” He brought his hands around to hold Marinette’s closer, seemingly content to stay where he was.
“Oh god.” Marinette sat up, leaning back a bit and covering her face with her available hand. “You can’t be acting cute right now. It’s not allowed.”
Tim opened his eyes again, looking up at her with a pout as he tightened his hold on her hand, which was still on his cheek. Marinette looked down at him, flushing.
“Stop.”
Tim widened his eyes, pouting further as if he was a dog denied a treat.
“I said no— I said you can’t go back to sleep. We need to save Paris.”
Tim let go of her hand, only to barely sit up and lean up towards her. He grabbed her hand again, fluttering his eyelashes. “Not even for a few minutes?”
“No.” She disconnected from her body, cheeks fully flushed and emotions too high to be able to comprehend.
“Mari, please.” He reached over and grabbed her other hand, sitting up properly now as he brought them to his heart. “My girlfriend just woke me up with a kiss, and I can’t enjoy the moment a bit longer?”
“Tim— oh god.” She looked down, tears in her eyes. “My heart is going to explode if you keep doing that. Just let us save Paris and we can cuddle all you want. I’ll give you so many little kisses. Just please, my heart can’t handle any more.”
Tim grinned, letting go of her as he slipped out of the blankets. He leaned up, kissing her forehead. “Promise?”
“Promise.” She short-circuited, steam basically going out of her ears. Which it did, as she was currently in a fairytale. She remained sitting on the bed with a blank look as Tim got up and found some shoes— as he didn’t sleep with shoes on the bed like a heathen. At that moment, there was a lightness in the air.
Which didn’t last long, because Tim is apart of the bat family.
“Tim, Ladybug.” The door opened to reveal a muscled up Bruce in a large yellow dress— Belle’s dress from the ball. Catwoman snuck up from behind, in a blue suit and a headband that had horns. She also had the tip of her nose painted black like a feline.
Titus, of course, ran out from behind them, still in the lizard ‘chameleon’ suit. He pounced onto the bed, laying his head onto Marinette’s lap.
“Titus!” Damian bypassed Bruce to rush over to his dog, glaring at Marinette. When he came close enough near her, chains appeared on one of each of their wrists, binding the two people together.
“Out of the way!” Dishes clattered to the ground as Jason bumped into Bruce’s back. A laugh of course followed when Bruce turned towards him.
Tim and Marinette sighed at the same time, before everyone finally gathered at the center of the room. Everyone went quiet as they took a moment to look at each other without laughing their asses off, noticing Dick wasn’t there with them. They had to go save him from his own undoing— and the rest of Paris from his akuma curse.
“Let’s save Dick.” Marinette spoke out, looking at everyone. “Jason, have you seen him?”
“Of course, I serve his meals and do his cleaning?” He said it like it was obvious.
“Meaning it wouldn’t be suspicious if you entered his room with a large cart of ‘food’?” Marinette grinned like she knew something they all didn’t.
“Yeah? Oh, you want me to sneak everyone in on a cart?”
“Everyone that you think you can fit in there. We can’t make it too obvious. After you sneak us in, we can surprise Dick and break his akumatised object. My yo-yo is in my bag so I'll still be able to purify it. Is everyone fine with that?”
“Your plan is terrible, but I don’t think we have any choice but to go along with it, do we?” Damian grimaced, as he does with everything.
“Nope! Now come on, we got a man to save!” Marinette yanked the chain to force Damian to follow her before grabbing Tim’s hand and holding it.
“I can probably fit the three of you…” Jason muttered, leading them out to the hallway, where his service cart, which was absurdly huge, was waiting.
“Me, Damian, and Tim then?” Marinette squatted down, looking at the cart with squinting eyes. Jason nodded back before the three forced their way into the cart, all squished together.
“Good luck.” Bruce held the cloth flap that would hide them, kneeling in the bright yellow dress as he looked at them all.
Marinette just winked and gave him thumbs up before he let go of the flap and they were submerged in darkness.
“Tim, get your knee off my back.” Damian mumbled as he heard—felt— the cart start to push forward.
“Not mine.” Tim swatted at the hand that was on his chest— which was too big to Marinette’s.
“My bad, Damian.” Marinette adjusted a bit, her knee now stabbing into his shoulder.
“That’s worse, you imbecile." He whispered-shouted. “Tim you could have just asked me to move my hand instead of hitting it like a caveman.”
“Shut up.” Marinette interrupted Damon’s rant as she heard the door open. They all went silent, softening their breathing. They listened closely as they heard humming, likely Jason, and the swishing of water. They had completely forgotten to ask Jason which fairytale character Dick was.
“Oh Dickriel, I have your food.” Jason stopped the cart in front of something, plates clinking onto what they hoped to be a nearby table.
“Oh Jasonrella, thank you! But Jasonrella, what is the world out there like?” A sweet sing-songy voice could be heard.
“The same as usual— nothing good and shit work treatment.”
“Oh my, Jasonrella, I wonder how true that all is. I wish to go out there, on legs one day, you see!”
“Mhm.” Jason nodded, before kicking the cart a bit, signaling for them to get out.
“Sorry, Dickriel! But you’ll have to go out there as Richard Grayson!” Marinette genuinely didn’t not know what she was saying as she emerged from the cart with a leap, taking a stumbling Damian with her.
“How did you all-?” Dick gasped, eyes wide. He was in a large tank with a single rubber duck as company. A food tray was placed over a portion of the tank to hold his food— a bat shaped burger. “No matter! The fairytales must go on! This is not how you all’s stories go!”
“Guess I’m an author, since I’ll be rewriting this story!” Marinette jumped into the tank with Damian and Tim, who was just standing beside her before.
The three attempted to grab the mermaid but Dick evaded them every time.
“It’s too late! You’ll never find my object!!” Dick yelled, before Jason’s hands yanked him to one of the sides of the glass tank, holding him there.
“..well? Is anyone going to get him? I said I didn’t want to meet anyone with a foot fetish that would be my prince and I meant it.” Jason raised his eyebrow as he waited for the three.
Damian and Marinette searched him, ultimately finding nothing until they turned around to see the rubber ducky again, which had a familiar pirate hat on it— it was the rubber duck Duck had gotten from his daughter a couple years ago.
“Get that duck!” Marinette shot forward, but Damian had been standing still, so they both ended up falling over and getting covered in more water.
Tim chuckled as he grabbed the rubber duck, holding it out to Marinette when she emerged from the water.
“You wench! How dare you—“
“Damian shut up, this was your fault!”
“It was MY fault? How dare—“
Dick cleared his throat.
“You heroes have defeated me, so please take my dearest treasure and end this battle. It hurts my dear heart to see you both fight amongst yourselves.”
“We weren’t— well, okay then.” Marinette looked at Tim who was holding out the duck for her, before yelling, “lucky charm!”
A small knife appeared in her hands, after she grabbed her yoyo from her bag. After a moment, she cut a small hole into the duck, watch the purple butterfly appear from it. She immediately snatched it with her yoyo.
“No more evil doing for you akuma! Miraculous ladybug!” She threw the knife into the air as she purified the butterfly, watching as a swarm of white ladybugs surrounded them.
As they all closed their eyes, they found themselves back in Marinette’s apartment, a game of monopoly on the table nearby.
Tim slipped behind her, hugging her from the back and giving her a kiss to the side of the head. “My hero.”
Marinette giggled as they all began laughing from the absurdity of it all.
Light came in from a nearby window, highlighting the scene in items glow. A large family all gathered together, making fun of each other for their fairytale forms. It was a sweet moment, as Titus curled himself around a standing Marinette’s feet.
The door opened after a moment, “oh my dear Cinderella! I lost your slipper but I know no one else has as monster-like feet as you, Jason!”
Roy blinked before looking down to see he wasn’t in prince clothing anymore.
“I do not have a foot fetish, by the way.”
“Oh my god!”
