i liked it a lot as someone who’s big on russian history but they are quite loud and sometimes plain vulgar
Yeah I’ve heard some of their stuff, and they def seem to be in the genre of asshole who thinks fucked up jokes are ‘okay’ if they say that they’re joking.
My first introduction to them was the Jonbenet episode, which has some vile “””jokes””” in it. It’s the kind of bullshit I need to be really prepared for.
So like, if you had to do a rough breakdown of the vulgarity, would you say the ratio leans more towards shit jokes or rape jokes?
Bc knowing what I do about Rasputin, and the (admittedly limited) exposure I’ve had to their brand of humor, it could easily be Very Awful.
I’m kinda holding out hope that maybe they’re more recent episodes aren’t as terrible? Because w/ different podcast hosts you can see a noticeable change in their behavior as they’ve received and reacted to criticism.
Though frankly none of them seem the type of person to deal w/ “hay you said something fucked up and bigoted” with any sort of grace.
