Mr.Ratburn has a husband now and I legit no joke teared up
Arthur has been for gay rights for like a decade, on a postcards from buster episode. It was a highly controversial episode that was banned.
But now,in 2019, Arthur can show a prominent supporting character being gay(presumably) and getting married and people are happy. It can make kids who are gay/lgbtqia+ feel included, people with gay parents, family, and friends understand that sometimes people are different than you, and that's okay, or prepare kids for meeting gay people later in life, and to know that they shouldn't treat them differently.This is so indicative of how times have changed. And I'm happy that they have.
