“The creative kick-off meeting was last Wednesday and since then the creative team has been delving into the key message on the brief. We have been creating mood boards, writing headlines, and digging up inspiration from anywhere we can find it. There have definitely been moments where we feel stuck; the ideas stop flowing and the conversation halts. In those moments, we are quick to bring spirits back up by taking a break and making sure everyone gets some time to themselves to clear their head space, or playing a creative game to get the juices flowing, like “yes and” or “complete the story.”
We had an internal creative review on Friday afternoon where we shared our initial ideas and concepts with everyone else on the HATCH team. Everyone was able to give us their opinions about the ideas and even offer suggestions or tell us their own ideas. We had a great discussion as a full team and it was helpful to get feedback from the whole group. A special shout-out to the Hunt Adkins crew that joined us and listened to what we had to say and helped us narrow our ideas down to 5 overarching themes.
Over the weekend everyone on creative had the chance to brainstorm on our own so that we could all come back together today and really get to the core of the five themes. After our creative review from the mentors, they encouraged us to start creating mock-ups for each of the themes, so that they can see which direction we plan to go in. Everyone is prepared for a late night, but we are excited to get our ideas onto paper (or screen) and share what we have in the morning!
Yay for moving forward and keeping the ball rolling!”
