Baby Mouse update for your consideration. He’s so little 🥹 He is still alive for now, we are trying soy formula as that seems to be closest to what he needs. He was sprawled in a doorway last night, barely moving, so it seems he was abandoned.
Thinking of naming him Jonathan after Jonathan Harker and Jonathan Sims, as he is just a little guy and is enduring the horrors right now. :/ poor buddy. I do hope he survives.

Heeeeey hi everyone. I guess this is another sort of update? I have been unbelievably busy. I've talked a bit about it before but I got a job as a traveling photographer/video person for dance conventions and competitions so I'm not kidding when I say I fly to a different state nearly every weekend and that usually takes up my Thursday through Monday just with work and travel. In between that I've been doing a lot of real estate photography and I had a massive filming project that's been eating up any spare moment with edits and all that and now I've been entrusted to work dance recitals on my own which is both super flattering that my boss trusts me with that and extremely nerve wracking. I'm heading to Memphis tomorrow and my flight is a 5:30 in the morning and that extremely sucks because I have to drive an hour and a half to the airport so I'm probably just going to leave my place around 11 or so tonight so I'm not falling asleep at the wheel and just crash at the airport for a few hours.
I'm also shortly heading to New York to work as a lead media production member for the same camp I worked last year, so I'll be doing that for about seven weeks. Funny enough, I will actually have a smidge more time during camp because it is less travel than I've been doing the last few months.
The writing is still happening in the moments when I can. I try to write on the plane but being honest it's not exactly a prime creative environment and I honestly wind up falling asleep most of the time because I don't sleep much during work weekends. I know I have asks to answer, one shots and drabbles I've promised and I'm working on them in the spare moments when I can.
My goal is to get a massive chunk of both OoF, Tonal Range and a personal project done during camp time but I'll honestly just have to see how things go. I got almost no writing done last year because of mourning my grandma and just generally being at the lowest mental health of my life but things are much better now. Crazy busy! But better.

... not a fic update. Yet. But an update!
Defect is incubating here for the month of November:
It's coming along very well.
Of these, 30 is the only chapter that's fully drafted, but 31 just needs a bit of opener and it'll be done. Meanwhile 32-34 are keeping my hands warm, they're such a hot mess.
It will be okay.
So yeah! No new defect to read until early December when NaNo is done and I have some time to edit these into not-trash, but then there'll be a lot of it done, so ... yay?

And if you haven't read defect or aren't familiar with it, it's a slow-burn Kalluzeb fic which asks: "What would it look like if Zeb and Kallus got to know each other between Bahryn and Atollon?" And when I say slow-burn, I mean SLOW. These two are the densest metals on the galactic periodic table. It's a wonder they're not still thinking of each other as just the bestest of friends, 29 chapters and 130k words in. 🙃

Another mouse update: it's 2:15ish and I went in at 2 am to check on him. He hasn't drank anything yet but was enjoying the wet tissue around it (i made the water bowl bigger/easier to access) he's walking around, lifting his head and smelling his area, EATING AND WASHING HIMSELF!!!!! When i scooped him up earlier there was dirt and hairs and lint all over his body, I picked a lot of it off and now he's cleaning himself 🥺

Mouse Update
I’ve received the mice, and they’re females apparently. I’m not upset about that, but I’ve decided to name them Spooy and Spypy due to an inside joke I have with a friend of mine. The names were not a suggestion that I received from anyone. However, all the suggestions were good ones. Seeing as I just got the mice settled in, I won’t be taking any pictures yet. I want them to get comfortable in their cage before I start bothering them.
This is my new boy mouse. He is here to supply me babies. I'm actually hoping to get some nice looking babies to keep along with some for feeding this time. (Last time I got attached to Annie and she's still around and my roommate liked another baby so we had kept her). So I have Pepper Potts in here with him and Storm! Storm is a long haired silkie piebald. She's absolutely stunning and a very sweet mouse! And pepper has been extremely sweet from day one, she's a cutie and she seems to be pretty healthy. As most of you know, the majority of my mice came from feeder bins, so they were not well bred or healthily bred. I have two left from petsmart. Jean (my old lady!) and Jubilee. Jean I was so sure was going to pass after Natasha passed because they're both older mice and they were best friends. However, since Natasha passed Jean has been more active and has made more friends. She's gaining some weight again and looks so healthy! I'm really just overall pleased with her. She's not very friendly, and doesn't like to be handled, but I'm glad she's doing better! Natasha was a petsmart mouse and lived to about a year and a half. Braille lived to be about a year and he was from petsmart too. Bucky lived only a few days after I brought him home and he was also petsmart. Either way I go here my mice have not had very good life spans. My other ones who recently passed were about a year old. I did see a super awesome tank style home I think I'm going to do after we move. It was like soil and grass and it was so natural. 😍 super cool and enriching! ❤️THIS HAS BEEN A MOUSEY UPDATE ❤️
Bought some stuff for the mouse I saved at wilkinson today and he's finally getting a proper cage next week 🥰
