         𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐀 𝐁𝐀𝐒𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐘 𝐑𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐒 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐄𝐘𝐄𝐒 𝐀𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐒 ,  𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐋𝐋 𝐄𝐗𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐄 𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐁𝐄𝐄𝐍 𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐅𝐎𝐑.        ❝  i just wanted to do something nice for my friend , care.  ❞     says elena on the defensive ,  ❝  you’ve been looking for this for so long !  i found it && bought it for you ,  it’s a nice gesture.  ❞    a smile now overtakes the frown that had rested on her features.   once more , the necklace is pushed toward the blonde standing before her.   a few glances are had from passing students as they make their way to the upcoming class.     ❝  besides , you seemed a little down━  ❞   shoulders give a shrug ,    ❝  thought this might make your day a little better.  ❞   if elena was anything she was compassionate &&   𝙲𝙰𝚁𝙸𝙽𝙶   toward the people she cared for━she loved seeing them happy , safe , && content in whatever their life becomes in passing days !    (  the girl who knew loss like a   𝖋𝖗𝖎𝖊𝖓𝖉   .  the girl who was too familiar with exactly what it means to be at your lowest who reaches out like a ray of a sunshine to make others smile , feel better in their time of need or not.   just for the hell of it.   )      ❝  are you gonna take the gift or not , caroline ?  ❞   tone isn’t as irritated as words might suggest , that smile ever present on pink tinted lips.

          𝐂𝐋𝐀𝐑𝐊𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐇𝐀𝐕𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀 𝐁𝐀𝐃 𝐄𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇 𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐀𝐒 𝐈𝐓 𝐖𝐀𝐒 ,  && 𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐒 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐃𝐒 𝐋𝐄𝐅𝐓 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐋𝐈𝐏𝐒 . . her blood boiled underneath her skin for the briefest moment.   hot , quick , && all the more tempting to actually bite someone’s head off !    their people were dying because of the earthborn , every day it seemed like more && more delinquents were being picked apart or brought back into camp with a sheet over their body && a grave being dug.   clarke was tired of the    𝖉𝖊𝖆𝖙𝖍   ,  she was fed up with the earthborn not even wanting to hear them out━what had happened in the past hundred years that made them this way?    yes ,  the delinquents did come onto land that had already been claimed , && anyone would be angry about that ,  but how were they suppose to know people had survived?    clarke wanted to end the suffering she saw , the fighting ,  && the ever looming threat of a war . . she’d do it no matter the cost.   naturally it seemed she, along with bellamy , had stepped into the role of   𝙻𝙴𝙰𝙳𝙴𝚁  && leaders protect their people.       ;        muddied boots turn ‘round quickly to face the other ,  tone coming out a lot more harsh than intended in her mind :      ❝  we’re all trying , valerie.  ❞    some more than others.   ❝  i’m just as tired of what’s going on && i’m doing whatever i can to stop it.  ❞    but she’s tired , exhausted , && doesn’t seem a solution that solved everything.   (  everything can’t be solved, clarke.  it’s time to make a impossible decision.  live or die.   )      ❝  do you have any suggestions?  i’m all ears , honestly.  i’ll take anything at this point.  ❞

emil’s head tilts as his gaze shifts towards her, watching her run a finger along his ribcage.  “  knife fight,  ”  his voice rumbles out as he recalls that particular day. it feels like it was decades ago.  “  i had a job that went south,  ”  he explains  “  bastard managed to cut all the way to the bone.  ”  there’s a small smirk that tugs at his lips when he adds  “  but i won.  ”

he senses mia before she even enters. brows lift a touch when the curtains are pulled back just enough for her to step into the shower. a smile tugs at his emil’s lips and he reaches out a hand to cup her jaw. leaning down, he meets her lips with a welcoming kiss.   “  you miss me that much? or are you just using me for the warm water.  ”  

 “ alright, scoot over a bit. ” she slides in next to her easily and grips the piece of wood the other is attempting to LIFT; guiding it enough out of the way that they’re able to squeeze through when the time comes. though there’s a part of her that’s ENJOYING the coziness of this old, rundown coffee shop. if only they could STAY. “ just gonna finish collecting some supplies. you don’t have to wait for me if you don’t want to though. ” they were, essentially, strangers. they could go their separate ways EASILY. though she hoped she stuck around at least a bit longer. for the story. 

          𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐒 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐂𝐀𝐔𝐒𝐄𝐒 𝐀 𝐒𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐂𝐇𝐔𝐂𝐊𝐋𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐏𝐀𝐒𝐒 𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐈𝐄’𝐒 𝐋𝐈𝐏𝐒 ,  𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐒 𝐀𝐍𝐗𝐈𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐋𝐘 𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐂𝐄 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐌𝐒𝐄𝐋𝐕𝐄𝐒.    green hues flicker between alicia && dina who lays sleeping on the couch inside the theater all three of them had taken refuge in after nearly being killed by a horde the previous day.  head silently nods toward alicia ,  hand fixing the strap of her pack as it lays heavily on shoulders already bearing   𝖘𝖔 𝖒𝖚𝖈𝖍      (  emotionally   /    mentally  )      ❝  thanks for the encouragement , alicia.  ❞   says ellie finally ,  hand now resting on cold , rusted metal of theater door.     ❝  i’ll try not to be gone very long , alright?   i don’t know how many of those assholes are in this hillcrest neighborhood , so it might take me a little longer.  ❞      ;           her mind lingers to dina as ellie    𝙷𝙰𝚃𝙴𝙳   the idea of leaving her in such a weakened , pained state━yet , it’d brought the woman some comfort to know she wasn’t going to be alone !   alicia agreed to stick around && look after her , the theater.   she’d have to find a way to make it up to her.    ❝  the plan is to find tommy , bring him back , && then we’ll all head back to jackson.  dina she━ . . she’s not safe out here.  but , anyway  . .  ❞   heavy door is pulled open just enough for her slip back out into late morning sunlight.    ❝  i’ve got some WLF fuckers to get rid off && an old man to find ,  so i’ll be back soon.  stay safe , okay?  && alicia . . thank you for doing this , it means a lot.  ❞     ellie flashes the other a grin ,  hand giving on last wave as she jogs off back into the outdoors.

ben shrugs his duffle bag onto his shoulder,  strap secured in his grasp as the sounds of various rifles and weapons shifts inside the bag.     they were preparing for a hunt for a rare wendigo,  and ben will be damned if he lets one get the drop on him.      “i think i like our odds,”    ben offhandedly comments,  a compliment wrapped within a low grumble.
