9/12 Pulpit Rock & the Pinnacle Trail Loop. I was nervous I wouldn't get a mountain in this month with my silly knee, but with autumn arriving I needed to get out and be in nature. I did this hike alone, but it wasn't lonely. I chatted with a few fellow hikers and some southbound at thruhikers. My mind mostly dwelled on moving and how much life is changing, but isn't that life? Adapting to the constant cycles of change - like the seasons. 4/12 Oldrag Mtn. An excellent hike that I wanted to complete before high season as this place can become crowded. It was a busy day and had to wait in lines behind some people who couldn't quite handle the strenuous scrambles. All in all it was a fantastic hike. #mountainamonth #oldrag #hikeva #shenandoah
