Drew this freak for Halloween

Named after the way the larvae move on the ground, Geometrids are one of the most numerous families in the order of Lepidraconics, numbering around 23,000 species currently documented. Shown here is a specimen found in Ecuador at the edge of the Amazon rain-forest. With a wingspan of only 3.6mm this little fellow would be hard to spot if it wasn’t for its strikingly bright coloration. Stay tuned for more Moth Mondays!
