Since some people have asked and i typed this up already here is whats up with these guys

Its a comfort series I am making basically

The idea is that these changelings broke off from the original hive so long ago because they wanted to feed on love but not aggressively so they made a new hive under king Atlas's rule

They helped celestia drive away the other changelings when they first emerged after starswirl accident (he canonically used magic on a tree by accident and made chrysalis and she has holes after a fight with celestia so her whole hive is cursed with them) But these ones have been able to establish trade with celestia personally

They take volunteers or the severely depressed and cares for them but the king only keeps one lover which is the main source of food for the hive

Though they mostly use hypnosis and alot of patience to help with that

Lavos the white one is the son of Atlas and the first lover he took which was Celestia

This is a self indulgent story about the next one (being my main oc)

i made it to deal with my inner turmoil

Im still work shopping them currently as people keep telling me they are "toxic" "unsettling" "scary" and "creepy" which isnt my intent

I forgot to mention a few things

The hive is in a mine in a mountain called "twisted mountain" you cant find it without a guide which is normally Lavos who judges those approaching by usually being disguised as a traveller

But under special conditions he will appear in his actual form

This place is designed to make you get lost and returns you back to where you started often

The changeling species themselves are called "Noctlings" and are a mix of moth and beetle (2 bugs i love alot) but from far away they can be mistaken for a kirin

Mothlings are actually quite smart, like really smart. Anyways

Mothlings name their kits after their favorite things, so it’s not uncommon to end up with a name like “Cheese” or “Trinket” and sometimes they might name it after the other parent :3

They can’t see the sky due to their home location, it’s a really dense forest, so they base seasons on 1. Weather. 2. Animals that are coming in. Since bugs die out in Winter, when bugs get low, thats how they figure out its winter if theres not snow

Certain Mothlings like to go out and watch animals, like wolves or deer, and study their behavior, sometimes even mimicking them to the best of their ability (Like, moving in packs, or hunting small animals like how other animals hunt)

This is going to be kind of brief but since I mentioned Tsubasa's change in the last post I should expand on that, to be exact the cocoons.

When a Royal is ready to become a Queen they go home to their parents for the royal jelly and a ceremony, this only happens when their parents feel a Royal makes a sizable contribution to their own future hive, seconds after drinking the jelly the cocoon will form around them. They can be in there for quite a few months.

For now here are the three characters who may appear or be mentioned in asks.

Mya is a slender, frail looking, boy standing at five feet tall. Mya is a mothling with wild long thigh length hair at the moment. He can usually be seen with dark circles under his baby blue eyes from a lack of sleep.

He typically wears massive comfy sweaters sweatpants and bunny slippers, usually hanging around at home in just a soft warm bathrobe and his favorite bunny slippers. The bunny slippers are a signature part of his outfit even if he had to go somewhere fancy. If he does go somewhere fancy he'd wear very loose slacks and dress shirts. Mya prefers comfort in his clothes.

Tsubasa is a hermaphrodite Lamia Dragon hybrid that usually sits at six feet, though depending on mood will relax lower or draw themself up higher when angry. Their hair is waist length curly and white. Tsu sports kind of small acups. Their body is covered in pale pearl white scales with flecks of gold scales across their rather soft looking body, mostly along their shoulders aswell as over their cheeks and nose like freckles, and across their long thick tail which holds a modest slit just underneath where their upper half meets it. Their body puts out heat like a furnace, nice sweet warmth that you could just fall asleep in. Occasionally when not pregnant they'll lay duds.

Sometime after meeting his loving mate Eros he gained the signature mothling features, the fluff collar, his then Draconic wings turned into Moth Wings, and he gained a stinger at the end of his tail like a rattlesnake's rattle.

They wear a rainbow tank top most of the time, or some kind of dress altered to cover only their slit, rarely when planning to stay at home they will wear a unbuttoned flannel and whatever cute bra they bought to mess with their mate.

Next we have Sirim Iteite. He is a grey skinned drider, similar to Mya he's got a ovipositor and female organs. His hair is silky black with a light blue streak near the front on the right side, and goes just past where his hips would be, usually tied up in a messy ponytail. His spider half is fuzzy black similar to a tarantula, markings including a single white stripe going across his sides and the leg are white at the joints, the markings normally being meticulously dyed the same light blue as the streak in his hair.
