Itās been a while since I posted anything Hamilton related, so have some headcanons ^^ free of charge(modern and musical ig)
Philip doesnāt like the number 7 and is afraid of the ocean. Who knows, maybe it was foreshadowing.
Hamilton gets defensive when Washington calls him son because wishes that his father stayed around and could have that relationship with him. When he gets older, he slowly starts to wish heād let himself be called son.
The only letter that Eliza kept was the first letter Alexander wrote to her, just for the memory. She kept it hidden, so nobody knew it survived. Maybe except for her children.
Lafayette has 4 modes when heās drunk depending on who heās around. If heās around Mulligan, heās probably about to do something stupid thatās going to get him killed because he trusts him enough to know that he wonāt let him get hurt. ⦠probably. If heās with Hamilton heās probably debating about some sort of culture shock or yapping for the sake of yapping. If heās with Laurens, well thats the gateway to alcohol poisoning. If those two arenāt getting kicked out for overconsumption(which is rare) they are not seeing the sun again. If nobodyās there he just gets really sad. Like bedrotting depression. At a bar. Like staying overnight because nobody wanted to kick him out sad. Probably missing his family. He has separation anxiety.
Eliza sort of knew what was going on between Hamilton and Angelica, but she didnāt want to open her mouth and ruin her relationships so she didnāt. After the Reynolds pamphlet, she forgave Angelica because she was by her side when she needed her most(She was right on time) though she never outright told her that she knew.
Jefferson is really insecure about the way he leaves impressions on people, mostly sprouting from Hamilton. He would do anything to keep that a secret. He would drop a baby off a wall to make sure that nobody would tell. Heās only told Madison about it.
Madison is a medical anomaly. He always carries around cough drops and pain medication, though he swears itās for Jefferson(when he really just convinced him to take better care of himself) At a certain point he had to wonder how he managed to outlive most of the people heād worked with, with all his diseases. He was writing like he didnāt have the time, but he didnāt know he had so much time. By the time he realized, he was pissed.
Peggy was once close friends with Maria Reynolds. The two were attached at the hip and always got along, though they lost contact after she got married to a certain Mr. James Reynolds. She was stunned when she saw the Reynolds pamphlet, shocked and distraught when she saw her name pop up. Her childhood friend wouldnāt do something like that⦠would sheā¦?
Iāll try to be polite when I say this, cuz Lee isnāt my personal favorite. Lee is the type of person to stalk somebodyās socials and like all their posts, but still will never talk to them because heās scared. (Leebury anyone? Or like. Any Lee ship ig?) (also ignore me calling myself out)
Jefferson and Hamiltonās arguments are the highest form of entertainment. They could argue for years back and forth. Had there not been someone to stop them, it would be the 8th wonder of the world (9th if you count the lemon demon song)
Peggy actually really likes the name Margarita, but nobody ever calls her by that⦠except for Lafayette. It makes her feel special.
Burr has many ambitions, one of them to make it big enough in life. Still, he can feel himself being overshadowed by anything and everything at every possible time. Itās lead to him having a specific bitterness teetering on the line of ptsd whenever he tried something new. Still, heās motivated not to give up. He has good intentions, but you know what they say about that.
Philip met Theodosia on a visit to the Burr residence in his tweens. The two hit it off and often kept in contact with letters, leading to him feeling more heard and understood.
When everything is silent, all Hamilton can think about is Philip. The world becomes still and thats the only time he can let himself grieve. Eliza has caught him like this before, clinging to her as the soft scent of salty tears wafts through the air. She just holds him tightly, trying to ground him as their world turns upside down.
Jefferson gets really defensive if anyone were to bring up Sally Hemings. (You can ignore this one if you want. I donāt even really like it but it had to be said)

Thatās it for now folks. Thanks for readingā¤ļøāØ
With that saidā¦
