PRIDE ,   POINTED   GLANCE   to female counterpart .   unchanged expression but a pointed green gaze ,   vindication of the special agent’s plea .   so outrageous are theories spun ,   so often are those witnesses on her end .   accusations .   scrutinizing stares and double - takes to detect that he was actually serious .   for once did a doctor ,   educated as her ,   on level with medical banter   (   albeit strange are his interests  )    manage to challenge ,   if only for a moment ,   the stubborn gaze and crossed arms .

IT SEEMS THAT THERE IS NOT ENOUGH SPACE FOR THE BOTH OF THEM ON THEIR MARTIAL BED, the bed they have slept in ever since they moved into this house under the disguise of being a happily married couple and the only thing ringing true about the blind, white lie was the part about being married. for the majority of his live in america, dmitry can’t remember when he has been happy around FREDERICK, they have the agency, dmitry does work in the neighborhood for the both of them to appear like the picture perfect american couple; but he has no idea what frederick’s real name is and neither does frederick about him — instead he utters ❛ alexander ❜ and presses it into his skin, and suddenly dmitry is falling apart, wishing for endless oceans to finally sink him in.

there is something about frederick’s hands on his hips, his waist, all this sweat-slicked skin, those hands that normally kill and bruise and burn, torment and terrify, that has him gasp for air while his breath is running away from him like a scared animal. with a shift forward, dmitry curls his hand into the sheets beneath them as if holding on could keep his mind and all his inhibitions from flying out the window and into the moonlit night. frederick’s light eyes glance down at him like they can’t believe what they are seeing & for a frightening moment, dmitry is afraid that all he is seeing is what he has to deal with, all he had to give up for the motherland, all his regrets but what comes out instead are gentle words, a question like a caring caress, something dmitry has n e v e r encountered in all the times had to take someone to bed for the sake of the mission. 

this is not just for THE MISSION, a voice in his head whispers, this is for the both of you alone, this is personal. it is different than the sloppy hook up in their car ( prompting burning cheeks whenever he climbs into the driver’s seat ), tonight he is feeling SACRED. 

maybe, that is true. still, he can’t help his shaking hands and shuddering exhales, overwhelmed by the heat radiating from his husband, by his thumb drawing circles into a spot right above the scar of an old bullet wound, by the profound desire he is met with; his head rolls back against the pillow and exposes the long column of his neck. there is a fading bruise on dmitry’s shoulder, that prominent scar beneath his left eye, and he is sure he has never seen frederick in such a state of disarray but his heart is beating faster for it, following his breath out into the wild. 

        ‘      you are a healer.     ’         there is an obvious distrust in her voice,     even if it is unwise considering the condition she was in.     still,     brienne couldn’t help it;     her experience with men have never gone anywhere but disastrous and humiliating,     with very few being exceptions of the rule,    and she’s no doubt,    with how she looks now:    ragged and torn and bleeding at her side from where the opponent have managed a strike in spite of the armour,    she might as well be hideously fitted in a dress like she had always been forced to,    all the years growing up.       perhaps it’s the pain,    or the lack of consciousness she’s fighting against with how much red her body is intent on pouring out,    but      ...       

            as much as brienne wishes she’s had time to shrivel away in embarrassment like she would have any other time     (     or perhaps she won’t    -    considering she’s all grown now,    and she knew better,    and she hadn’t shied away from a man’s peer when she’d learned to lock her gaze and steel her shoulders so they would not yield,    ever     )      ,    she only grips one blade she’s stowed in her armour with her other hand.     it’s a defence,    a rebellious act,    one she wants him to see,    because no,    she does not trust him,     and,    yes,    he will know of this.     ‘      if your intention is not noble,    ser,    i must ask you to step away.     ’       /    from brienne for @mortalspark !

         ‘   you’re----you’re definitely hallucinating right now.   ’   she’s grasping at straws as she scrambles to find a way to explain exactly why a gen z teen is hanging around the hills of romania, fighting a woman with glowing green hands and a man that vaguely resembles a monkey.   ‘   you should get some rest. before you hurt yourself.   ’

 whenever they are at fundraisers, functions or conferences, sitting at those endless dinner parties or whatnot, dmitry will sit across from frederick and demand attention by playing footsie under the table. or, more often, he makes funny faces at frederick ( including fingerguns ) to get him to laugh & relax because he knows these things, especially the mass of people, no matter how high frederick praises his colleagues, are strenuous and work their way under his husband’s skin until he can be pretty on the edge. dmitry wants to break the tension and he likes when frederick is all disgruntled and scowls at him but he loves it the most when he gets a smile. 

translation: dmitry behaves like a clumsy idiot or a fool to make frederick laugh

dmitry likes to steal frederick’s labcoat and wear it when he visits frederick at work. he likes driving frederick a little mad.

in the beginning, once they start sleeping in the same bed, they both have assigned sides but during the night they will naturally navigate towards each other; dmitry wakes up tangled in frederick more often than not and he will always pull back with his own heartbeat pounding in his ears; he never wants to disrespect frederick’s stone-set boundaries and he always feels like overstepping. 

talking about raging crushes? dmitry knew frederick was his type the first time frau blucher showed him a picture. it only got worse when he laid eyes on frederick at their wedding.

dmitry has trust issues the size of russia because all his life prior to transylvania was spent in a constant state of suspicion and survival, it is why he tends to be snappy and stand-offish in the beginning

he drinks. A Lot. a habit carried into his new life that he can hardly break; when he’s not on the job, when he experiences symptoms related to his ptsd, when frederick is not at home, dmitry drinks. it leads to many fights and arguments.

related to his ptsd: depressive episodes. once their relationship turns into more, it gets harder for dmitry to push frederick away; he doesn’t want to, he’s just used to it. for dmitry it has always been easier to alienate everyone so no one would have to see him suffer.

also related to his ptsd: anger issues. like an animal in need of soothing, dmitry doesn’t have a hold on his temper once he enters a bad episode, that includes anger and the physical need to hurt and destroy. it takes him very long to let frederick in and deal with this side of him; there’s always a sense of shame involved when dmitry gets like this.

dmitry is by no means a chef in the kitchen but he has a steady hand and knows how to cook simple, tasty meals, nothing too fancy. this, too, was born out of necessity but it seems to be fruitful. cooking for frederick is a sure fire way to get on his good side ( spoiled brat ) 

it is true that dmitry has set up frederick’s instagram account; he’s the only person he will let take pictures of him because he only trusts frederick’s vision of him. on his own instagram is a variety of pictures but he likes to post candids of frederick, pictures when the other one wasn’t looking and unaware dmitry was taking a picture.

💐   :   give flowers to my muse.

ROSES, CARNATION, SOME PRETTY GREEN IN BETWEEN, but there are so many roses, dmitry hardly knows where to look in the first place. this is …. unexpected, to say at the least. last year frederick got him a whole SUIT and dmitry assured him that he wouldn’t have to through the same effort more than once, they both know of the unorthodox nature of their marriage and he is aware of how reserved the older man can be, but his husband seems to be hellbent to change this perception of him   — even if only for a stupid, mindless holiday. nevertheless, whenever dmitry’s eyes land on the bouquet a small, private smile steals onto his lips, one that he couldn’t prevent even if he tried. maybe it’s the simplicity of the present that touches him, or maybe it’s the fact that frederick didn’t forget at all; no matter how often he pretends to have a heart made of stone, the instances when it softens ( for dmitry, mostly ) are grand in nature, sweet and earnest in gesture.   

he slides his phone out of his pocket, he knows frederick is at work right now but dmitry can’t seem to concentrate when he keeps staring at those flowers on his desk in his office. all of this sounds so mundane, yet it is a strange set of circumstances, for him, FOR THEM. it catches him off guard and his eyes will firmly stay fixed on the red and pink petals, the stark green, the white dust of decorative additions. maybe, he should rethink his plans for the evening, the n i g h t, he ponders, giving some attention to the warm tingle in the bottom of his stomach. all frederick’s fault, dmitry thinks, and doesn’t mind at all.

B   :   BOUQUET.   does your muse like flowers? which ones are their favourite?

he does! alec loves flowers. his favorite spot to be is alone in the volturi gardens. theyre his essentially since he’s always lurking and caring for them and enjoying them. I always say that roses are a huge motif for him. red roses are his favorite but he also really loves white roses. he really identifies with them a lot and loves their scent and look. he has tons of them in his room and tons of rose bushes in the gardens. those are the ones he actually cares for himself. he also likes lavender, gardenias, and daffodils. other than that he doesnt care much for other flowers.
