Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā The Dreamer looked up at Tsukiyomiās son curiously for a moment. With most of the demigods he had met on the island he wouldnāt dare to admit to admit to any real failings; bad for oneās image, among other things. But this was Tsukiyomiās son, and it wouldnāt do to lie to him or skirt the issue if he was truly curiousā¦
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā āI think itās something that most of the gods are afraid of, at one point or another,ā he said quietly, thumb rubbing idly over a smooth bit of rose quartz. āFor me, it tends to gravitate around family. My siblingsā¦there are so many of us, it can be difficult to really keep in contact with them all. A few have vanished completely, or at least they actively avoid the rest of the world. And thenā¦my children. Honestly, I do not have many. I know them all by name and by face, I speak to them in dreams, butā¦ever the absent father. It sort of comes with the territory. The more the gods meddle in the lives of their children with mortals, the more disasterous it becomes. Or at least that is how it was in the past. Rarely do things end well. With the exception of the more dangerous powers you children can have, I honestly feel that it is best for us to keep our distanceā¦but that does not mean it is easy. Some of usā¦we truly love our childern, even if we cannot be there for themā¦ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā All he could offer the boy was a sad smile. āCan you blame me for feeling as if I have let someone down? Far too many āsomeone"s for my comfortā¦ā
Ā āYou love your family, right?ā Akira asked simply before continuing,Ā āIf you love them, thatās all that matters. I bet your children can feel your presence in their dreams, too. They may not understand that itās you yet, but I know that dadās presence was always there for me.ā
He thought about how to explain it before he spoke softly,Ā āWhen I was a little kid, I used to tell my parents that my dad lived on the moon. I donāt know why I said it, but I felt it. I didnāt discover my powers until I was older, but I always felt them when I played outside at night. Itās like dad was giving me caffeine, even then!ā
āThink about the people you havenāt let down, too!ā He said with a small smile, immediately standing up. He didnāt hesitate before he stepped closer to Morpheus, arms being thrown around him. āThank you for being so good to dad and I. Youāll never let us down!ā
