I am very hopeful that there will be good aro-representation on mainstream TV and I believe that you are going to see such a time. Until then, let us write what we want to see! I do not want to tell you that your sadness is not justified because it is but I hope that you can find some joy in the knowledge that many others have found comfort in your works. I personally feel inspired to create more gen-content.
thank you!! this actually made me feel a little brighter, honestly, both because that’s a bolstering way to think about it (i hope i do see that time!) and nothing is more like... encouraging or motivating or positive feeling to me than knowing that someone else has found joy or comfort in my writing (especially in being able to see relationships, love, conflict, dedication, trauma, joy, family, etc exist and be dug into without a romantic context over or underlaying all of it). i’m also delighted you’ve felt inspired to create more gen stuff! i think it’s underrated tbh, though we’re not shocked to hear that i’m sure XD.
