The blue city of Chefchaouen located in the Rif Mountains of northwest Morocco. The town was built in the early 1400s and most buildings are blue and white. Apparently Jews who moved here during WW2 started painting buildings blue to remind them of the sky and god and heaven. Not sure why they just didn't look up. We got asked if it was tough sleeping in a tent in the Sahara Desert. Actually, it was very pleasant, more like a hotel room covered by canvas 😁. Morocco Field Report - Day 1: After 4.5 hours sitting on the runway at Gatwick airport, a change of airplane, we finally made it on route to Gibraltar.
