I've noticed you often state that Anne Boleyn was executed for adultery, and while she was accused (and convicted) of adultery, wasn't the reason she was executed was treason (because adultery in her case = betraying the king = treason)??
Generally when we state that she was executed for adultery (because yes, having carnal knowledge of the queen or the queen consort committing adultery was treason) it's because we're pointing out the sexism and patriarchy inherent in the system that allowed for her to be executed in the first place. We're a feminist blog, so the commentary is generally feminist in nature, which is why we often state "adultery" with the assumption that our readers understand that adultery was treason.
