It's not that people can't lie about having a CDD, or that everyone with a self-diagnosis is correct, it's that it's weird as fuck to want to die on the hill that you should be able to single these people out or want to proudly proclaim that you "know who's faking".
Hey, people lie on the internet all of the time (about everything!), but fakeclaiming and the whole mindset of "I need to know who is lying or wrong" is not helping anyone and it is inevitably going to hurt the people who DO have a CDD.
Like, yeah, okay, "not everyone online who says they have DID has DID", but have you considered we don't care (because, again, people lie about shit online all of the time), and we've also realised that filtering through the community through the lense of "I need to know who is faking/lying" is unproductive?
