I am so close, getting very excited. I really love this pattern. If you are interested in it there ia a FAQ page about it here. The designer is brilliant with lots of tips and variations given.

I am not making a hood for this one, I already have an idea in my head to do another one in a lilac color, make it a little longer and do something lacy for the trim. Since I want the coats to look quite different, I will do the hood and the corset lacing on the next coat.

That means all I have left to do is the trim and add buttons.

I got the right front crocheted and steamed this week, I am getting so close. Only the sleeves, hood, and trim left to go!!!!

I got the back of the Elf Coat pinned out and steamed. I overfilled my steamer so it had a bit of a hot water "throw up" onto the coat. See the darker spots, i hope they dry out okay. Next I can get started on the right front of the coat, it is getting so close to being done!!!!

Forgot to post my Elf Coat progress yesterday, so here it is. I got the inset pockets and waistband done.

Pockets have been crocheted and blocked!!!

I finished the skirt portion of the Elf Coat (pattern by @moralefiber). I decided to steam it as I go. Not very happy with the large blocks of color between each color change in the yarn, but I am still loving the pattern.

Finally finished the skirt panelf for the Elf Coat I am working on. 39 1/2 hours in, but I am still loving the pattern and the process of making it. I was hping to not have to block it, but it really curls with tunisian crochet.

Only 3 1/2 panels left to go on the "skirt" part of the Elf Coat I am working on. Loving the design by @moralefiber, her pattern is genius. I was hoping not to need to block it, but it's curling a lot.
