Hello Clare, #2 and #5 for theogony ,FG and satus in quo and #1 for the derelict art of letting go please ❤️❤️❤️
hi my love! WOW ok let's get into it! lots to do here, I'm hype
theogony
2. What scene did you first put down?
I wrote the prologue and the last chapter first, before anything was put out! the prologue came really easily, and I loved the idea of not even naming James or Sirius in it. I wanted to set the tone of the prose and the diction and give a little insight into what was to come, especially since the first real chapter is a Lily chapter. and the last chapter was really just a consequence of me outlining everything so meticulously!
5. What part was the hardest to write?
trying to keep some level of historical accuracy is challenging! I take a lot of artistic liberty, and I absolutely butcher terminology and historical events, trust me. but I do as much research as I possibly can and I try to make the general setting recognizable, as well as keep to generally accurate historical timelines—so that's always a challenge!

2. What scene did you first put down?
I remember writing this one a bit more top-to-bottom than I usually do! I started with the first scene, because I wrote the first line down and thought, hm, that's pretty good, maybe I'll continue that…and just kept going!
5. What part was the hardest to write?
I still don't think I accurately wrote any sort of English trial/mediation proceedings, let alone if they were barristers or solicitors which I still can't fully get my head around, but I promise I did research on it 😭
status in quo
2. What scene did you first put down?
wow, I haven't thought about this piece in a while! I think I put down the intro section down first, and then the 'status: pending' section, and then the 'status: in peril' section. I wrote this in one afternoon, if I remember correctly, so it was a bit of a blur!
5. Which part was the hardest to write?
the Death Eater attack was pretty hard comparatively to the rest of the piece, only because it involved a lot more choreographing than them just sitting and talking.

What inspired you to write the fic this way?
I'd never seen a piece like this before! with a lot of fic, you're working from some well-worn templates and it's hard to be original, especially for a fandom that precedes both FFNet and AO3—and not to say that no one's done this before, I'm sure it's absolutely possible, but I have never read it. so when the idea popped into my head, I thought, oh, I really want to run with this. and it was so fun to play around with who James is without magic, and who he thinks he is. I wanted to be bittersweet about how life could be, and, frankly, I think I wanted to make myself cry? lol?
thank you so much, beloved! always lovely to get an ask from you <3
